As the flagship model of LEXUS Lexus, the new generation of LM was developed based on the concept of "elegant honor" and made its global debut at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show. As a new generation of models, the internal and external design of the new car is completely renovated, and 2.4T hybrid system is added in power.

In terms of appearance, the new car uses the latest Lexus electrified aesthetic language, with a new integrated spindle grille and a new style headlamp group design. Specifically, the front face of the new car uses a large trapezoidal intake grille, the interior is supplemented by hexagonal sequins, the car logo is moved up from the original position grille to the front of the engine room, and both sides are equipped with a new style L-shaped broken line LED lamp group, the shape is sharp and dynamic.

On the side of the body, the new car adopts a segmented waistline design, and the B-pillar cancels the old corner design and is replaced by a new design style. In addition, the windows around the new car are not decorated with the popular chrome plating, the roof and the body are designed in the same color, and the rims with dense spokes are used at the bottom, which looks more simple as a whole. At the rear of the car, the new car is replaced with a new through-type LED lamp group and cancels the brand "L" LOGO logo and uses the letter "LEXUS" instead, which makes it more recognizable. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5125/1890/1940mm, wheelbase is 3000mm, and positioning MPV. For comparison, the length, width and height of the old model are 5040/1850/1945mm and the wheelbase is 3000mm. By contrast, the length and width of the new car have improved.

In the interior part, the new car also has obvious changes. The new car uses a similar design of the new generation RX, with a double screen layout consisting of a 12.3inch LCD meter and a 14-inch central touch screen, and is decorated with electronic bars and wood grain. At the same time, the new car also increases the heating function of handrails and foot supports for the first time, and adopts the rear self-welcome air conditioning control system to realize the linkage control of air conditioning, seat position, sunshade, lighting system and so on. In terms of seat layout, the new car offers three cockpit layout options with four seats, six seats and seven seats.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with two hybrid powers. among them, the LM 350h model is still equipped with 2.5L naturally aspirated engine + front and rear dual motor hybrid system, with maximum power 140kW and maximum torque of 242N ·m; the LM 500h model is equipped with 2.4T turbocharged hybrid system, which matches the DIRECT4 electronic dynamic all-wheel drive.

Lexus LM is a MPV model of Toyota luxury brand Lexus, which was listed in China in February 2010. the manufacturer's guidance price is 116.60-1.466 million yuan. it is a relatively high-priced MPV model in China, known as "Rolls-Royce of MPV". As a million-class MPV model, the supply of Lexus LM cars is very scarce, and it is basically normal to buy cars at a higher price. It is understood that the previous seven-seat version generally increased by about 550000 yuan, while the four-seat version increased by about 350000 yuan.

From the point of view of the pricing of the new car, whether it is the announced price model or only the pre-price model, at the price level, the new car has increased in varying degrees compared with the old model. From the perspective of competitors in the auto market, there are not many competitors for Lexus LM to locate millions of MPVs. As far as the current domestic MPV market is concerned, the new generation of Lexus LM will compete with Elfa, Wilfa and Mercedes-Benz V-class top models after listing.

It should be noted that the new generation Elfa and the new generation will method, which also locate the luxury car MPV, went on sale in June. Among them, the new generation Elfa launched two models with a price range of 89.9-909000 yuan, and the new generation Crown will sold between 89.9 yuan and 909000 yuan.
