It is understood that Dongfeng Nissan, the automaker with the largest recalls in September and even in the third quarter, involved three best-selling models, Qijun, Xiaoke and Teana, accounting for 98.43 per cent of the total recall. Fuel pump defects broke out again on a large scale. Since August, SAIC-Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz have all announced recalls because of fuel pump defects. The recall of Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. includes 90280 imported C-Class, E-Class, G-Class, S-Class, CLS, AMG GT, GLC SUV, GLE SUV and GLS SUV vehicles. Beijing Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. recalled a total of 120088 domestic C-Class, E-Class and GLC SUV cars, while Fujian Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. recalled a total of 20881 domestic V-Class and Weiting cars.

With the popularity of the new energy vehicle market, the defects of new energy vehicle products are becoming more and more prominent, especially under the background of the rapid development of automobile intelligence, the vehicle recall fault begins to extend from the traditional hardware fault to the system program and software design problem. Of course, compared with Dongfeng Nissan's recall of nearly 1.2 million vehicles, the number of recalls of new energy vehicles is nothing at all.

As new energy vehicles have gradually become the mainstream models in the car market, the number of recalls is also increasing. In the first half of the year, mainstream new energy vehicle brands, including Tesla and Xilai, were on the list. In addition, some pure electric models were recalled, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Toyota, Volvo, Genisse and other brands.
