As a new generation model, the new car has been greatly adjusted and optimized in appearance, interior and power. it will be produced in Mlad á Boleslav in Slovakia and is expected to be launched in Europe early next year, and domestic models may be updated synchronously in the future. As a reference, the price range of SAIC Volkswagen Skoda Kodiak currently on sale in China is 191900-243900 yuan.

In terms of appearance, the front face of the new car adopts a new design style and is replaced with a brand-new LED headlamp group, which is more recognizable than the current model. The front face is decorated with a polygonal air intake grille, the interior is decorated with a straight waterfall structure, the two sides are equipped with split headlights, the front enclosure is designed with a three-stage design, both sides are equipped with vertical diversion grooves, and the bottom is designed with a flat air inlet. the interior is honeycomb grid design, the overall sense of movement is quite prominent.

On the side of the body, the lines of the new car are very smooth, the through-designed waistline vehicle appears to be longer and more slender, the roof slides slightly to the rear, and the D-column is equipped with matte chrome-plated panels to create a suspended roof visual effect. the wheel eyebrow and side skirt are designed with black panels, and the flat tires are matched with petal-style rims, which further enhance the sense of movement of the new car. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car is 4758/1864/1659mm, and the wheelbase is 2971mm, which has more advantages compared with the current model. The length of the new car body has increased from the cash 4701mm to 4758mm, while the wheelbase remains unchanged.

In the rear part, the overall shape of the new car is mainly simple, the roof is equipped with a small size spoiler and flat high brake lights, in addition, the newly designed taillights make the new car look more layered, the taillights are pierced and blackened, and the license plate frame area of the concave design looks three-dimensional. The lower enclosure consists of a stout black panel and a silver-gray trim, while the exhaust adopts a hidden layout.

In the interior part, the new car uses the latest digital cockpit and 100% renewable interior materials, the car is equipped with 10-inch full liquid crystal meter, 13-inch suspension center control screen, HUD, touch control knob, etc., and the shift lever is also changed into a black gear to reserve more storage space for the center console.

In terms of power, the fuel version of the new car will be equipped with 1.5T and 2.0T gasoline engines with maximum power of 150T and 204hp respectively, of which 2.0T will provide four-wheel drive version; plug-in hybrid version will be equipped with 1.5T + motor combination, the maximum power is 204hp, the battery is 25.7kWh, and the contract for pure electric service is 100km.

As the electrified transformation becomes a major trend, Skoda will also release more new energy models. According to reports, the above-mentioned Kodiak and the new generation of speed pie have been described by foreign media as two series of "last-generation fuel models". In addition, Skoda will also release modified products of KAMIQ and SCALA, and a mid-term revision of Mingrui in 2024.

Skoda is scheduled to launch three new all-electric models in 2026, including a small car, a compact SUV and a seven-seat home SUV. To this end, Skoda plans to invest 5.6 billion euros and 700 million euros in electric travel and digital development over the next five years, making its pure electric vehicle sales account for more than 70 percent of its European sales by 2030.
