AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)10/10 Report--
On October 10th, Nissan China also reported terminal car sales in September. According to the data, Nissan's cumulative terminal car sales in China in September were 63823, down 30.68% from a year earlier, of which Dongfeng Nissan (including Nissan, Qichen and Infiniti brands) sold 61303 vehicles, down 23.91% from a year earlier. Nissan's terminal car sales in China totaled 546744 units, down 34.75% from the same period last year.
In response, ShoheiYamazaki, senior vice president of Nissan Motor Company, chairman of Nissan China Management Committee and president of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd., said: "in the face of the changing business environment in the Chinese market, we need to ensure the sustainable development of our business and speed up the introduction of new products."
Looking at the above sales, both monthly sales and cumulative sales during the year, Nissan China has shown a significant decline. At present, Nissan passenger car domestic models include Xuanyi, Xiaoke, Teana, Qijun, Jinke, Bluebird, Loulan and so on, of which Xuanyi is the main selling model of Dongfeng Nissan. According to the data, from January to August this year, Xuanyi sold 227400 vehicles, accounting for 56.79% of Dongfeng Nissan's total sales (400300). The rest of the models did not perform well, with 63300 and 53900 vehicles sold by Xiaoke and Teana, respectively. Models such as Bluebird, Tuda, Quetta and Jinke are even more appalling. For example, only 8102 were sold in the previous August, 3551 and 1059 in the first eight months of the year.
In addition, Dongfeng Nissan New Energy vehicles are also performing poorly. Ariya, for example, sold 1575 vehicles in the first eight months of this year, of which only more than 100 were sold in the June-August period, with 102,115,106 respectively.
Compared with Nissan's dismal market performance in September, Honda China showed a marked improvement in September.
On the same day, Honda China released the latest sales figures. Honda sold 109666 vehicles in China in September, compared with 108.5 per cent in the same period (up 8.51 per cent from a year earlier), the fourth time it has sold more than 100, 000 vehicles this year.
According to the joint venture, Dongfeng Honda sold 48224 vehicles in September, up 19.91% from a year earlier. Among the subdivided models, Civic's monthly sales exceeded 20, 000 and CR-V exceeded 10, 000, but official sales figures have not yet been released.
Guangzhou Auto Honda sold 61442 vehicles, up 0.97% from a year earlier. Specific to a single model, the sales of the new-generation Accord, the new-generation Haoying and the model are 15338, 14622 and 14241 respectively. It should be noted that since the Accord has been upgraded, its market sales have not been as good as before. Data show that from June to August this year, Accord sales were 9008, 7110 and 6915 respectively, showing a gradual downward trend, but sales improved in September.
Overall, Honda's sales in China rose year-on-year in September, but extending the period to the previous September, Honda's sales in China fell 20.86% year-on-year to a cumulative sales of 831305 vehicles.
Or in order to accelerate the electric transformation of the layout and ease the pressure on sales, on September 21, Dongfeng Honda released the new new energy car brand "Lingzhi". The first model, "Lingzhi L" concept car, will be launched in mass production next year. It is understood that "Lingzhi" products will be based on the new pure electricity platform production, product positioning, target users, market pricing and so on are significantly different from the e:NS pure electricity brand. According to Dongfeng Honda, the proportion of Dongfeng Honda electric products is expected to exceed 50% by 2025. More than 10 pure electric models will be launched in 2030.
In fact, whether it is Nissan China or Honda China, fuel vehicles are still the tone of the market, but under the background of the shrinking traditional fuel vehicle market and the continuous rise in overall sales of new energy vehicles in China, Japanese brands, including Nissan and Honda, have long shown weakness, and the retail share of Japanese joint venture brands in China has fluctuated for a long time. Among them, it was 16.7% in August this year, down 4% from the same period last year.
Nowadays, the domestic new energy vehicle market is changing with each passing day. Japanese brands may have to accelerate the introduction of electric products if they want to keep up with the pace in China. Of course, with the rapid development of China's new energy market, it is no longer easy for Japanese brands to seize a place in the highly competitive field of electric vehicles.
