The new car will go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year and will compete with BYD Han EV, Zero C01, Nezha S and other similar models after launch.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the latest family design style of Xingtu. From the real car picture, the front face of the new car adopts the closed intake grille and hollowed-out design commonly used by electric cars, and the shape of the headlights on both sides is slender and slender. And through an LED daily light belt to form a penetrating design effect. On the side of the body, the new car uses a slip-back styling design, and the roof lines begin to slide rapidly from the B-pillar to form a slip-back design, with hidden doorknobs, which looks very fashionable as a whole. As Xingtuo's first pure electric car, Yin Tongyue, chairman of Chery holding Group, personally stood on the platform for Star era ES and once again set a sales target for Xingtuo. Yin Tongyue said that next year, the combined sales of the two product lines of Xingtu and Xingera in China will be 300000 vehicles, plus about 200000 cars for export, which is conservatively said to be 500000 vehicles. In other words, Yin Tongyue has set a sales target of 500000 cars for next year.

It should be noted that there is still a certain gap between this sales target and the current Starway car sales. Take the September data, for example, starcar sales surged 93.9% in September from a year earlier, but only 15200 units.

Xingtu is a high-end brand of Chery, and it is also Chery's third attempt to enter the high-end market. In November 2018, Chery officially named its new high-end brand EXEED "Xingtu". At that time, Yin Tongyue, party secretary and chairman of Chery holding Group, said: "the shortcut is Chery's Skoda, Chery is Volkswagen, and Xingtu is Chery's Audi." To this end, it also set an ambitious goal: "the Xingtu brand plans to sell 60, 000 vehicles in 2019, and will strive to achieve the sales target of 100000 vehicles." But in the end, it failed to achieve as scheduled.

Today, Dr. Gao Gao Hua, executive deputy general manager of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. and president of the Automotive Engineering and Technology Research and Development Institute, said that within two years, Chery will launch 24 hybrid and 15 high-end electric models. Among them, five hybrid models and four high-end electric models will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2023, and the Ningde era Shenxing overcharged battery will launch the first Chery Xingtu brand.
