In the front part, the new car uses a new borderless grille design, the center is dotted with a large number of star-shaped holes, the brand LOGO may adopt a glowing design, and continue the LED headlights similar to EX90. In addition, the new car is also equipped with fumigated front enclosure components, adding a touch of movement to it.

On the side of the body, the overall design style of the new car is highly similar to that of the polar krypton 009 on the same platform. Specifically, the new car uses a large number of straight lines, the more straight roof design provides plenty of head space for passengers, and split panoramic skylights are expected to provide more comfortable lighting for the front and back rows. In addition, the front fender of the side waistline runs through and extends to the rear of the car, which has a strong sense of fashion with large-size and low wind resistance styling rims. By comparison, there is only a slight difference between the length and the height of the new car.

In the interior part, no detailed official picture has yet been released, and the door is expected to be equipped with a large suspended central control screen and a series of driving assistance systems. with a combination of software and sensors, including high-definition cameras, panoramic cameras, millimeter wave radar and ultrasonic sensors. From January to September this year, Volvo's cumulative global sales rose 19 per cent year-on-year to 509158 vehicles, with China's cumulative sales up 5.2 per cent to 123471 vehicles, according to the data.

Can the new electric MPV,EM90 bring sales growth to Volvo? The new car is based on the same platform and is regarded as a "extreme krypton 009 shell change" model. As a reference, the current price range of extreme krypton 009 is 49.90-588000 yuan. Considering the effect of Volvo luxury brand, the price of the new car is not low. The starting price may be more than 600000 yuan. In addition, new energy MPV models are very popular in recent years, both traditional manufacturers and new power brands have launched MPV models one after another, which also means that new cars will face a lot of competition after they appear on the market. Of course, whether the new car will eventually bring sales growth to Volvo depends on the final price of the new car, and if the price is too high, not many consumers are expected to pay for it.

Volvo is scheduled to deliver the EX30 small electric SUV this year and launch the EX90 large SUV and China-oriented EM90 models in 2024, with the EX90 making its global debut next month.
