It is understood that the new car is Qiyuan brand's first SUV model, positioning plug-in compact SUV, power equipped with 1.5L plug-in hybrid system, comprehensive range up to 1215km, BYD Song Pro DM-i model long 125km.

In terms of appearance, the new car draws lessons from many design elements of Changan CS55 PLUS, but the style is closer to Qiyuan A05. The front face of the new car adopts a closed split grille design, the grille connects the long and narrow lamp groups on both sides, the center is the Qiyuan brand LOGO logo, with the lower transverse trapezoidal air intake grille, and the longitudinal trapezoidal hollowed-out decorative panel is added on both sides of the bumper, the overall sense of movement is good.

On the side of the body, the lines of the new car are more traditional, using traditional door handles and five-spoke low wind resistance wheels. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4539/1865/1680mm and the wheelbase is 2656mm, which is exactly the same as the third generation CS55 PLUS in Chang'an. As a comparison, the length, width and height of Biadizon Pro DM-i are 4738/1860/1710mm and the wheelbase is 2712mm. In the rear part, the rear shape of the new car echoes with the front face, with flat LED lights on both sides, a single wiper on the rear windshield and high brake lights on the top.

In the interior part, the interior design of the new car is basically the same as that of the third-generation CS55 PLUS in Changan, and the overall design style is relatively simple, providing elegant brown and quiet gray interior colors. Equipped with 10.25inch full LCD instrument and 12.3inch central control screen, the steering wheel is replaced by Qiyuan LOGO. In addition, the new car is equipped with through-type air conditioning outlet, and the lower part of the center console is equipped with wireless charging board.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of 1.5L naturally aspirated engine power distribution motor, the peak power of the driving motor is 158kW, and the maximum torque is 330N ·m. The new car will have two kinds of pure electric life: 60km and 125km. The long-lasting version has a comprehensive range of 1215km, and the comprehensive fuel consumption is as low as 1.33L hand 100km LTC.

Considering the positioning and price of the new car, the new car will compete with BYD Song Pro DM-i (12.48-159000 yuan). Of course, models such as Galaxy L7 (13.27-179700 yuan) and Harvard owl Dragon (12.98-146800 yuan) will also be potential competitors.

On the day of the press conference, Changan Qiyuan family A07, A05, A06, Q05 all unveiled, the official said that the future Q Qiyuan models will represent SUV. Among them, the extended-range / pure electric medium-sized car Qiyuan A07 has been on the market, the price is 15.59-176900 yuan; the plug-in compact car Qiyuan A05 has also been on the market, the price is 8.99-132900 yuan; and the fourth "sedan car" model Changan Qiyuan A06 was also unveiled at this conference.

Changan Qiyuan has launched four new cars in just three months, a layout speed that is extremely rare in the automotive industry. Of course, Changan Qiyuan "non-stop" new product launch is closely related to its brand positioning. Changan Qiyuan is a brand new product series of Changan Automobile, which belongs to the same level as Changan, UNI and Auchan, but unlike Deep Blue Automobile and Avita, Changan Qiyuan is absolutely controlled by Changan Automobile, and the profits and losses generated are borne by Changan Automobile. In January this year, at the 2023 Changan Automobile Global Partnership Conference, Changan Qiyuan, then also known as the "OX sequence", was endowed by Changan Automobile with missions such as "mainstream EV layout", "to seize the new track" and "sales exceeding 800000 vehicles by 2025".

In terms of products, in addition to the existing A05, A06, A07 and Q05, CD701, the first product of Changan Qiyuan E0 series, will be officially put into mass production next year. By 2025, Changan Qiyuan will launch 10 new digital intelligence evolution new automotive products around the world. Obviously, in the long run, Changan Qiyuan shoulders the main task of Changan automobile electrification transformation. According to the plan, Changan Automobile's own brand of new energy models will hit annual sales of 2.4 million vehicles in 2030, of which Changan Qiyuan is responsible for 1.5 million.
