At the beginning of the launch of the Mercedes-Benz EQC, many car owners paid a high price for the Mercedes-Benz brand premium. In December 2022, Beijing Mercedes-Benz expanded its recall of EQC electric vehicles, totaling 3345.

There is no doubt that the electric vehicle business will not only become a new profit growth point for luxury car companies in the future, but also an important area of competition. In July 2021, Mercedes-Benz officially announced its electric transformation plan, and will launch pure electric models for all its market segments in 2022; starting from 2025, all its newly released model architecture will be pure electric platform. each of its models will provide customers with pure electric version options. To promote this transformation, investment in Mercedes-Benz pure electric models will exceed 40 billion euros in 2022-2030.

However, Mercedes-Benz is currently performing poorly in terms of both electric car sales and product quality, and officials have not responded to the EQC fire as of press time.
