On December 1, Jianghuai Automobile announced that it had signed an "Intelligent New Energy vehicle Cooperation Agreement" with Huawei Terminal Co., Ltd. Jianghuai Motors said that based on Huawei's smart car solution, the two sides will fully cooperate in product development, manufacturing, sales and service, and strive to build luxurious intelligent networked electric vehicles through continuous upgrading and iteration of cooperative models. to meet users' higher needs and expectations for smart cars.

In terms of product development, the product development of cooperative models is the overall responsibility of JAC Automobile, and the specific division of labor shall be subject to the relevant agreements signed between Huawei Terminal and / or affiliated companies and JAC Motors. In terms of manufacturing, Jianghuai Automobile is responsible for building a production base, providing users with all aspects of intelligent manufacturing solutions, and building advanced manufacturing capabilities with the help of Huawei's advantages in related fields, so as to achieve efficient delivery of cooperative models. In terms of sales services, JAC Motor agrees with Huawei or its third parties to provide exclusive sales services for cooperative models worldwide, including but not limited to marketing, sales, users and ecological operations. and work together to build a "user-centered" service system around cooperative models.

In the announcement, JAC did not disclose what category of models will be launched in cooperation with Huawei, but according to previous media reports, JAC and Huawei are working together to develop a million-dollar MPV model, which is expected to be in mass production in the second quarter of 2024, with a sales target of about 50, 000 units a year after its launch.

On November 26, Changan Automobile announced that it had signed a "Memorandum of Investment Cooperation" with Huawei Technology Co., Ltd. The move is seen as a landmark move for Huawei's BU business to operate independently. Yu Chengdong, managing director of Huawei and chairman of BU, revealed at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show that there will be two "boundaries" after the world of inquiry and intelligence, from BAIC and Jianghuai. Huawei has issued an open invitation to Cyrus, Chery, Jianghuai and BAIC, and hopes that FAW of China will join us to create the leading and ultimate smart car solution products.

At present, there are three commercial models for Huawei BU to cooperate with car companies: Tier1 (traditional parts supplier model, which supplies intelligent parts for car companies), HI mode (Huawei Inside mode) and smart selection mode. At present, Changan Automobile is the only car company under Huawei HI mode. Changan Automobile cooperates with Huawei and Ningde era to build the Avita brand, and has launched two models, Avita 11 and Avita 12. Deep ties with Huawei is one of the main selling points of the Avita brand.

In contrast, the cooperation of smart car model is more in-depth, Huawei is not only deeply involved in product research and design, but also can make use of Huawei's channels for sales. In the future, Huawei Smart car partners will also include Jianghuai and BAIC to build other "boundary" brands, but the specific names are not known at the moment.
