On December 28th, Cadillac announced that its pure electric OPTIQ was officially named "proud song" in Chinese. It is understood that the name "Aoge" is obtained by users after more than a month of name solicitation and voting, and the new car is the second electric SUV launched in China by Cadillac based on GM's pure electric Ortesian platform, positioning medium-sized SUV, positioning lower than IQ Ruige, the new car will be produced by SAIC GM Cadillac and may compete with Tesla Model Y and Xiaopeng G9 models after listing.

The new car has made its debut at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show. In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the family design language of Cadillac, the front face continues the design style used by IQ Rui GE, the front face adopts the grille design with luminous function, the slender chrome strip above the grille runs through the whole front, and is connected with the headlights on both sides, and the headlamp group adopts "C" shape design, which is highly recognizable at the same time. The fierce lines and the black air intake design below also make the whole front face look very sci-fi.

The new car has smooth and sharp lines on the side of the body, offering 19-inch and 20-inch rims with tyre sizes of 245amp 55 R19 and 245max 50 R20. The sporty rims match the lines on the side of the body to further highlight the movement of the vehicle. The new car is also standard with hidden door handles and C-pillar decorated with tight lines. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4822/1912/1643mm, wheelbase is 2954mm, positioning medium-sized SUV. In the rear part, the new car uses a large number of sharp line design, and the taillights are longitudinally arranged. In addition, the new car is also equipped with a spoiler, and the raised part of the center of the spoiler is equipped with high brake lights, which makes the rear feel more layered.

In terms of interior decoration, the official has not yet announced. In terms of power, the new car is driven by dual motors, equipped with a four-wheel drive system, the maximum power of the front axle motor 143kW, the maximum power of the rear axle motor 70kW, the maximum speed of 180km/h, and the triple lithium battery of SAIC Power.

In May 2022, the LYRIQ, Cadillac's first pure electric car, was officially named "Ruige" and went on sale in June. Ruige is based on GM Ultium Autenon platform, positioning pure electricity in large SUV, a total of three models, then the price range of 439700 yuan-479700 yuan, power to provide single-motor rear drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive two kinds of power combination. Among them, the four-wheel drive model is equipped with two front and rear permanent magnet synchronous motors, the maximum power 375kW, the maximum torque of the motor is 710N ·m, and the mileage of CLTC is more than 600km; the maximum power of the rear-drive long-range model is 255kW, the maximum torque is 440N ·m, and the mileage of CLTC is 653km. Compete with similar models such as ES8, Tesla Model X, Audi e-tron, Audi Q5 e-tron and BMW IX in the car market.

Retail data show that from January to November this year, Cadillac Reege sold 3353 vehicles, of which only 120 in November. As Cadillac's first pure electric car, Ruige's market performance is hardly optimistic. For comparison, ES8 sold 12554 vehicles in the previous November, including 1658 in November.

So far, Cadillac has only two pure electric cars, Ruige and Aoge, and it is planned that Cadillac will launch three more pure trams next year, which are expected to be SUV models. As for whether Cadillac can innovate in the field of pure electricity after its listing, it still needs to be tested by time and market.
