This is the first time that Lexus has used a hybrid system on a non-load-bearing body model. In terms of power, the new Lexus GX is based on the TNGA-F platform and is equipped with a hybrid power system composed of a 2.4L turbocharged engine and a motor, of which the maximum power of the engine is 207kW and peak torque is 430Nm; the maximum power of the front motor is 40kW and peak torque 250Nm; and the integrated power of the system is 243kW. The drivetrain matches an eight-speed automatic transmission and full-time all-wheel drive, which can switch H4 high-speed all-wheel drive and L4 low-speed all-wheel drive in real time according to road conditions, and is equipped with central and rear axle differential locks and electronic dynamic suspension system E-KDS. It is worth mentioning that the new car is also equipped with 1.5kW external discharge function to enrich the outdoor scene.

The first generation of Lexus GX 470s, unveiled at the 2002 North American Auto Show, is built on the same platform as Toyota Prado and has a lot in common in mechanical structure and body structure, with a 4.7L V8 engine, establishing a tough guy temperament. At the 2009 Guangzhou Auto Show, Lexus unveiled the second-generation GX model: GX 460. the name change means that the engine has changed from 4.7L V8 to 4.6L V8, with a maximum power of 301hp and a maximum torque of 446N ·m, which matches the 6AT gearbox. Lexus GX has always been a tough + luxury image, but its audience is mainly concentrated in the North American market and sold in the Chinese market as an import. The overpriced Lexus GX is difficult to enter the list of cars chosen by ordinary consumers. Of course, for this market segment, sales or feedback is almost entirely unconcerned. after all, it seems to have a strong "banknote" ability and a revolutionized fashion design, and it has no rival in the world.
