On November 24, Tesla Automobile (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. and Beijing Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. filed recalls of relevant models respectively, according to the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration.

Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd.:

From now on, Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. recalls some imported Model X electric vehicles manufactured from July 7,2023 to August 1,2023, totaling 2 vehicles. It is reported that the vehicles within the scope of the recall have been modified in the Tesla service center steering wheel type, the modified new steering wheel is still equipped with the airbag of the original type steering wheel, resulting in the airbag and the new steering wheel do not match. In case of vehicle collision, the protective performance of the airbag may be affected, which will increase the risk of driver injury in the accident, and there is potential safety hazard. Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will inspect vehicles within the scope of recall. If the airbag type does not match the steering wheel type, it will be replaced with the correct type of airbag free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd.:

Since January 12,2024,34 domestic Class A and Class C vehicles with production dates from June 8,2022 to August 22,2022 have been recalled. Some vehicles within the scope of this recall are damaged due to improper transportation of parts and components, moisture may enter the interior of ESP unit, affecting ESP system functions (vehicle stability control, anti-lock braking system), increasing the risk of collision of vehicles, resulting in potential safety hazards. Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace ESP units free of charge for vehicles within the scope of recall through Mercedes-Benz authorized dealers to eliminate safety hazards.

Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd.:

I. From now on, 24 imported CROSSTREK, Aohu and Forester series vehicles manufactured between September 6,2023 and September 8,2023 will be recalled. Due to improper heat treatment of vehicles within the scope of this recall, cracks may occur on the surface of the outer race of the universal joint of the front drive shaft and the strength of the material may decrease, resulting in damage to the outer race of the universal joint, poor power transmission and reduction of driving force during use, increasing the risk of collision of the vehicle, resulting in potential safety hazards. Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. will inspect the left and right front drive shafts for vehicles within the scope of recall free of charge, replace the front drive shafts with defective batch parts to eliminate safety hazards.

II. Since January 11,2024,2472 imported Aohu series vehicles manufactured between February 10,2021 and June 30,2021 will be recalled. The vehicles within the scope of this recall may have poor contact with the switch due to insufficient sealing of the gear suppressor switch, and moisture may enter the switch interior. When the vehicle is started, the engine may not be started, the engine warning lamp may be on, etc.; after the vehicle is started, the reversing lamp may not be on, the reversing image may not be displayed, etc., which increases the risk of collision of the vehicle and has potential safety hazard. Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. will replace the gear suppressor switch for vehicles within the recall range free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.
