As for why Liberty Man stopped production in the United States, it may have something to do with its poor sales performance in the market.

Liberty Man went on sale in the United States in 2015, and sales peaked at 106600 vehicles, but not for long. Since then, Freeman sales began to decline, with data showing that sales of the car fell to 27500 in 2022. Cumulative sales of the model in the US market fell 35 per cent year-on-year in the first three quarters.

In response to the suspension of production of Freedom Man in the United States, a Jeep spokesman told the media: "as the brand focuses its resources on the growing SUV segment in North America, the company will stop selling Liberty Man in the United States and Canada. Liberty Man is made in Italy and shares the platform with Fiat Fiat 500X." However, the spokesman noted that the car will continue to be sold in other markets such as Mexico, Europe, South America and the Asia-Pacific region.

The Liberty Man model has also had a highlight moment in China. According to reports, the Jeep small SUV Liberty Man will be succeeded by the Avenger model after it is discontinued in the United States, but it has no chance with the domestic market, that is, the car will not be introduced into the domestic market. Jeep Avenger officially launched in January, the first all-electric model launched by the Jeep brand in the European market, and will also offer plug-in hybrid (4xe) and fuel-powered models in the future.
