The new car can be regarded as the plug-in hybrid version of Ruihu 9, and its outline design is basically the same as that of Ruihu 9, but the new car uses a new front face styling. Specifically, the new car is designed with a closed grille and embellished with decorative strips, with flattened headlights on both sides and a luminous brand Logo in the middle.

On the side of the body, the new car adopts the popular hidden door handle and dense spoke rim design. in terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car is 4820/1930/1699mm, the wheelbase is 2820mm, and the positioning is medium-sized SUV. In the rear part, the new car adopts through-type taillight group design, equipped with roof spoiler, and the rear enclosure adopts hidden exhaust layout.

In the interior part, the new car uses the family's latest design language, with a shift mechanism, a 10-inch LCD dashboard and a 15.6-size suspension LCD dashboard, with a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and 5G Gigabit Ethernet. In addition, the center console of the new car is also decorated with wood grain decoration board to improve the texture of the car.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with Chery Kunpeng Super CDM hybrid system, which provides two kinds of power options, among which, the single-gear DHT transmission model has a maximum power of 150kW and peak torque of 310Nm; the third-gear DHT gearbox model has a maximum power of 165kW and peak torque of 390Nm; both sets of power are equipped with 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 115kW and peak torque of 220Nm.

On September 16, Chery officially announced that it would officially name the previously exposed Chery high-end new energy product series "Fengyun". Like the new series of other brands, Fengyun series will adopt the new brand LOGO, official introduction, Fengyun series will take hybrid products as the core, and follow-up models will include Fengyun E3, Fengyun E7, Fengyun E8, Fengyun T6, Fengyun T7, Fengyun T8, Fengyun T8Max, Fengyun A8 and so on.

The Fengyun T9 is another new car after the debut of Fengyun A8, A9, T11 and other hybrid models. Among them, Fengyun A8 has started pre-sale on December 24, with a pre-sale price range of 13-150000 yuan. The car will be on the market on January 3.

At present, Chery is gradually expanding in the field of new energy. In the field of pure electric, Chery already has many brand layouts of Chery New Energy, Xingtuo, Shortcut and iCAR. With the release of Fengyun series, Chery Group passenger car plate architecture matrix will be further improved. According to the plan, by the end of 2024, Fengyun series will launch a total of six new products. In addition, in order to speed up the layout of the new energy track, Chery also announced that it will invest 20 billion yuan a year in R & D in the field of electric intelligence, with a R & D investment of no less than 100 billion yuan in the next five years.
