On January 5th, Honda Technical Research Industry (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Automobile Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the Administration of defective Automobile products recall and the measures for the implementation of defective Automobile products recall regulations, the recall plan was filed with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration.

1. From August 30, 2024, the following vehicles will be recalled: (1) Honda Technical Research Industry (China) Investment Co., Ltd. recalled some imported Acura RDX series vehicles that replaced fuel pumps during after-sale maintenance from March 1, 2018 to October 31, 2023, a total of 46 vehicles.

(2) Guangzhou Automobile Honda Motor Co., Ltd. recalled a total of 261411 domestic Acura TLX-L, Acura CDX, Fengfan, Odyssey, Accord, Guandao, Lianzhi, Feido and Lingpai cars produced during the period from July 22, 2017 to June 30, 2018. Part of the domestic Acura TLX-L, Acura CDX, Acura RDX, Fengfan, Odyssey, Accord, Guandao, Haoying, colorful Zhi, Feido, Ling Pai, GE Shitu, concept S1 series cars that replaced the fuel pump during after-sale maintenance from March 1, 2018 to October 31, 2023, a total of 7026 vehicles From March 1, 2018 to October 31, 2023, there are a total of 30 imported Acura RDX, Acura MDX and Acura TLX series cars that have replaced the fuel pump during after-sale maintenance.

(3) Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. recalled a total of 247253 domestic GREIZ, GIENIA, JADE, CIVIC, SPIRIOR, XR-V, CR-V, UR-V and ELYSION series cars produced during the period from August 9, 2017 to June 30, 2018. Some domestic CIIMO, ENVIX, GREIZ, GIENIA, JADE, CIVIC, SPIRIOR, INSPIRE, XR-V, CR-V, UR-V and ELYSION series cars that replaced the fuel pump during after-sale maintenance from September 1, 2017 to October 30, 2023, a total of 4858 vehicles.

The reason for the recall is that part of the vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to the insufficient resin density of the fuel pump impeller, the impeller may be inflated and deformed due to the influence of fuel, and interfere with the fuel pump shell, resulting in poor operation of the fuel pump, unable to provide normal fuel to the engine, and in extreme cases may lead to engine flameout while driving, resulting in safety risks. In view of the above defects, Honda Technical Research Industry (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Automobile Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the improved fuel pumps for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety risks.

It should be noted that this recall belongs to the "Guangzhou Automobile Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. recalled some domestic cars" issued on May 29, 2020, and "Guangzhou Automobile Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. expanded recall of some domestic vehicles" issued on December 25, 2020.

Second, from May 30, 2024, recall the following vehicles: (1) Guangzhou Automobile Honda Motor Co., Ltd. recalled some of the domestic hybrid versions of Acura CDX, Odyssey and Accord produced during the period from August 27, 2018 to August 6, 2020, totaling 75691. (2) Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. recalled a total of 76405 domestic hybrid versions of INSPIRE, CR-V and ELYSION cars produced during the period from October 8, 2018 to September 7, 2020.

The reason for the recall is that due to manufacturing reasons, the internal pressure sensor of the brake pedal simulator may be attached to a small amount of lubricating oil, and the attached lubricating oil after long-term use will cause sensor signal offset. When the signal offset reaches the alarm threshold, the fault light of the braking system will be lit, and the vehicle will start the braking backup mode, resulting in the increase of the pedal force required for braking and the hidden danger of safety. In view of the above defects, Guangzhou Auto Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. will replace the brake pedal simulator for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.

The recall is a change to the recall of some domestic hybrid vehicles by Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Automobile Honda Motor Co., Ltd., issued on December 29, 2022.

At that time, Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. recalled a total of 105608 domestic hybrid CR-V, hybrid INSPIRE and hybrid ELYSION series cars produced during the period from October 8, 2018 to September 7, 2020. Second, Guangzhou Automobile Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. recalled a total of 95081 domestic hybrid versions of Acura CDX, hybrid Odyssey and hybrid Accord cars produced during the period from August 27, 2018 to August 6, 2020.
