A few days ago, General Motors said in a statement that it will start selling the GMC Yukon Yukon full-size SUV in China this year, and the GMC will be expanded to Australia and New Zealand in 2025. Earlier, General Motors high-end imported car platform Dolange revealed that the Chevrolet Tahoe Taihao series and GMC YUKON Yukon will be introduced to the domestic market by import in 2024.

The new generation of GMC YUKON model was unveiled in China for the first time at the 2020 Expo, positioning full-size SUV. The flagship version of GMC YUKON Yukon DENALI ULTIMATE can be understood as the high-end version of the YUKON Yukon series, which belongs to the GMC sub-brand DENALI. In addition, the YUKON Yukon series also includes AT4 off-road version, XL long wheelbase version and other derivative models.

As the sister model of the new Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban, the YUKON family has the same hard and luxurious appearance as the Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban. In terms of appearance, the new YUKON family looks even wilder, with a huge chrome-plated front grille in the middle of the front face, with full LED headlights and fog lights on both sides, making the new American luxury atmosphere and exquisite interpretation incisively and vividly. The rear part of the car, the new C-shaped LED taillight group is bright red, the shape echoes the headlights, but also brings more embellishment for the rear of founder. In addition, the thick chrome trim at the top of the license frame and the double-sided round silver exhaust at the bottom further increase the texture of the rear.

In terms of interior decoration, the new car adopts a newly designed center console, which is neat and wide, and the materials of wood trim board + leather + sewing are quite grade. The top DENALI model is also equipped with the industry's first electronically controlled mobile front row and central handrail, which is rich in mode and flexible to change, as well as a 15-inch head-up display and panoramic image of the vehicle's 9 cameras. In addition, automatic emergency braking is standard on the new YUKON family models, while streaming rearview mirrors and rear pedestrian monitoring are optional.

On the power side, the new YUKON family has previously offered three types of power, including a 6.2L V8 naturally aspirated gasoline engine, a 5.3L V8 naturally aspirated gasoline engine, and a 3.0T turbocharged inline six-cylinder diesel engine. Among them, the 6.2-liter V8 engine has a maximum power of 426 horsepower and a peak torque of 624 Nm. In terms of transmission, the new car is equipped with a 10-speed manual gearbox and an optional four-wheel drive system. In the chassis part, the new car is equipped with general fourth generation MRC electromagnetic suspension with body height adjustment function, brand-new electronically controlled limited slip differential, multi-link independent rear suspension and so on.

During the 2023 Expo, GM announced that it would introduce two full-size SUV Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon, as the first models of the Dolanger platform, which will officially enter the Chinese market in the second quarter of next year. At the same time, Dolange will open direct stores in first-and second-tier cities across the country.

Two major SUV models, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon, have been proven in the North American market, where the former ranks first in full-size SUV sales for many years, while the latter has sold more than a million vehicles worldwide. Julian Blissett, president of GM China, said in an interview that Dolange mainly focuses on niche market segments and personalized products and will complement, coordinate and work closely with the SAIC GM brand.
