On the evening of January 28, Jietu Traveler "Silver Dragon Wings" was officially launched, with a price range of 219,900 yuan and a limited number of 3000 units. By contrast, travelers currently on sale offer 1.5T and 2.0T engines, priced in the range of 139,900 - 184,900 yuan.

On January 11, Jietu Auto announced that JMK's first model was named Traveler-Silver Dragon Wing. It is understood that the new car is the first product of JMK official modified brand, based on the current traveler.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a tough style design, which is more hardcore than the models currently on sale. In terms of subdivision, the front face of the new car is equipped with a brand-new front bumper, the grille is blackened and the lamp group design is added, and the raised engine compartment cover makes the vehicle more aggressive.

The side and rear parts of the body have also been redesigned, with wider wheel eyebrows, larger size MT tires, exclusive wheels, luggage racks and ladders added to the new car on the side of the body. At the rear of the car, the new car was replaced with a brand-new rear bumper, the external spare tire was replaced with a square glove box, and a protective cover was added to the taillights. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4782/2036/1960mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2800 mm. For comparison, the length, width and height of the Jetu models currently on sale are 4785/2006/1880mm and the wheelbase is 2800 mm.

Interior part, the new car continues the design style of the current model on sale, with black as the main color, with silver trim strips, visual effect is more advanced. The car is equipped with 10.25-inch full LCD dashboard and 12.3-inch central control touch screen, supporting intelligent voice control and mobile phone interconnection function, the overall sense of science and technology is full.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 2.0T engine with model SQRF4J20 produced by Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 187kW. The transmission system is matched with a 7-speed wet dual clutch gearbox.

Jietu Automobile is an automobile product series launched by Chery Holding Group on January 22,2018. It once belonged to Kairui Automobile. At the beginning of its launch, it adopted the model strategy of high configuration and low price, and quickly relied on Chery channel end for layout.

In July 2021, Chery Holdings upgraded the Jetu brand to Jetu Automobile on Jetu Brand Night, and Jetu officially became an independent automobile brand,"on an equal footing" with other brands of the Group. One year later, Jetu Automobile released a brand-new brand LOGO. The new LOGO was based on the initial letters "J" and "T" and evolved from the official script "Xing." At the same time, it was announced that the brand-new product strategy of Jetu Automobile in the future would be arranged in four product sequences: X, T, P and V, focusing on SUV, hard-core off-road, hard-core pickup truck and MPV market respectively, forming the plan of "4 urban SUV+3 cross-border series +N hybrid models."

Jietu Traveler was launched in September 2023, with 6 models launched, with a price range of 1399 - 184,900 yuan, including 1399 - 149,900 yuan for 1.5T and 1599 - 184,900 yuan for 2.0T. The car is positioned as a medium-sized hard-core off-road SUV, offering five-seat and seven-seat models, powered by 1.5T and 2.0T engines, and hybrid models for consumers to choose from in the future.

Retail sales data show that the cumulative sales volume of Jetu vehicles in 2023 was 203657, up 50.34% from 135460 in 2022. Among the subdivided models, the top three models sold were Jetu X70, Jetu Great Sage and Jetu Traveler, with sales of 98913, 41232 and 35274 respectively.
