It is understood that the Yuan PLUS Glory Edition is the last glorious version of the car launched by Chao.com, which increases the color of the black knight's interior and exterior decoration, and upgrades the vehicle configuration and functions. For comparison, the price range of cash yuan PLUS is 13.58-167800 yuan.

In terms of appearance, the overall design grid of the Yuan PLUS Honor Edition is consistent with the champion version, but the new "Black Knight" appearance color matching, the front face still continues the latest design language of the BYD family, and the embossed seal character "yuan" on the chrome-plated strip also brings a certain sense of refinement. In the rear part, Yuan PLUS Glory Edition adopts through-type taillight design, and the vehicle C-column is decorated with silver "dragon scale" decorative board to improve a certain degree of recognition. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4455/1875/1615mm and wheelbase 2720mm respectively.

In terms of interior decoration, the Honor Edition of Yuan PLUS adds the Black Knight color option, the design is inspired by fitness equipment, and the area of the central armrest is very flat, together with a new styling shift lever inspired by the grip push rod and the circular air conditioning outlet in front, it looks like a running treadmill. The whole center console maximizes the simplified physical buttons, and the car is equipped with a 12.8inch central control screen, equipped with DiLink 4.0G intelligent network connection system, and new intelligent voice continuous dialogue function.

In terms of power, the Yuan PLUS Glory Edition continues to be equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 150kW and a peak torque of 310Nm, with an acceleration time of 7.3s from 0 to 100km / h. In terms of range, the new car provides two kinds of lithium iron phosphate battery packs with a capacity of 49.92kWh and 60.48kWh, corresponding to 430km and 510km respectively under CLTC conditions.

Yuan PLUS, a compact all-electric SUV owned by BYD, made its debut at the 2021 Chengdu Auto Show and went on sale on February 19, 2022 with a guided price range of 13.18-159800 yuan. It launched the champion model on September 15, 2023 at a price of 13.58-163800 yuan. In 2023, Yuan PLUS sold 309800 vehicles for the whole year, second only to Song PLUS New Energy in the compact SUV market, which sold 390200 vehicles. The launch of the glory version of the model, the price compared with the old model reduced by 16000 yuan.

At a time when new energy car companies "scale determines cost", a strong price cut by a leading brand often drives a number of other brand models in the same price range to follow suit to maintain their market share. Li Yunfei, general manager of BYD's brand and public relations department, said on social media that "the decisive battle with fuel cars will be completely opened." Since then, BYD has launched glory models one after another, including Dolphin Glory, Han Family Glory, Tang DM-i Glory, Song PLUS Glory, Seal DM-i Glory, Song Pro DM-i Glory and so on.

This is the ninth glorious version of the car launched by BYD in nearly half a month, and it is also another move to accelerate the conversion of oil to electricity after the first call of "electricity is lower than oil" on February 19. After the price cut, many of BYD's popular models have been in the same price range as the mainstream models in the fuel car market.

Price for quantity is one of the means for car companies to seize market share. After the year of the Dragon, BYD Dynasty and Ocean launched the glory version of the model, the lowest Qin PLUS and destroyer 05 sold for only 79800 yuan. The market believes that under the background of the slowdown in the overall new energy vehicle market, BYD needs to seize the market share of fuel vehicles in the market of less than 200000 yuan, and the price for quantity has become the most direct means for BYD, while the market above 200000 yuan strives for sales breakthrough and seeks overseas business increments to support sales growth. Data show that BYD sold 122300 new energy vehicles in February, compared with 193700 in the same period, down 36.8% from a year earlier. From January to February, BYD sold a total of 332800 new energy vehicles, down 6.1 per cent from a year earlier.
