On March 11, Xingtuo Yaoguang C-DM, a subsidiary of Xingtuo Motor, was officially listed. The new car has launched a total of five models with a price of 15.98-225800 yuan.

Xingtuo Yaoguang C-DM positioning medium-sized SUV is a new power version of Xingtuo Yaoguang. The power is equipped with a hybrid system composed of 1.5TGDI hybrid special engine and motor. Under WLTC operating conditions, the 160km is powered by pure electricity, and the comprehensive mileage exceeds 1343km.

In terms of appearance, the shape of the new car is basically consistent with the fuel version, with a borderless intake grille on the front face, a diamond-shaped mesh design in the interior, and a collocation with the same color as the car body. The headlights on both sides and the daily lights running through both sides outline a style similar to the Greek symbol "∑". In the middle is the "EXEED" English letter decoration of Xingtuo cars, which is quite fashionable in the overall visual effect.

On the side of the body, the new car has straight lines and a downward trend on the roof to create a visual effect similar to that of the sedan SUV. The rich waistline design with hidden door handles makes the new car more fashionable. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4781/1920/1671mm and the wheelbase is 2815mm. In the rear part, the new car is equipped with a through taillight group, which is integrated with the star letter LOGO, and the C-DM logo indicates the identity of the vehicle. The black rear guard plate is used in the lower surround, and the exhaust is arranged on both sides to enhance the sense of movement of the vehicle.

In terms of interior decoration, the new car is also consistent with the layout of the fuel version, using a double screen design with a full LCD dashboard connected to the central control multimedia display screen, a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, and a central console with a penetrating air conditioning outlet. Coupled with a double-spoke multi-function steering wheel, the car has a good sense of technology. In addition, the new car comes with a 50-inch AR-HUD virtual reality look-up display.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5T engine and a motor. The 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 115kW and a peak torque of 215Nm. The maximum power of the two-wheel drive motor is 165kW, the peak torque is 390Nm, and the four-wheel drive motor has a maximum power of 340kW and a peak torque of 700Nm. The transmission system matches the third gear DHT transmission. In terms of batteries, Yaoguang C-DM two-wheel drive version is equipped with 19.43kWh ternary lithium battery pack, pure electric mileage of 83km in WLTC condition, 34.46kwh ternary lithium battery pack in two-wheel drive long-lasting model and four-wheel drive model, 160km and 150km in WLTC condition, respectively.

Xingtuo Yaoguang went on sale on February 21, 2023 and launched a total of 6 models with a price range of 152800 yuan to 202800 yuan. Xingtuo Yaoguang is a brand new model launched by Xingtuo Motors, shouldering the important task of transforming brand 2.0. it is based on M3X Mars Architecture 2.0, uses a new design language, locates medium-sized SUV, and is powered by a 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 261hp, a maximum torque of 400Nm and a transmission system that matches a seven-speed wet double clutch gearbox. In the auto market, it mainly forms market competition with Chuanqi GS8, Haoyue L, Chuanqi GS8, Changan UNI-K and other models.

Before launching Starway, Chery had made two high-end attempts, including Ruiqi and Guanzhi, both of which ended in failure. Star car is Chery's third high-end attempt, as a brand that undertakes Chery to move towards high-end, the performance of Star car in the car market is not eye-catching.

Retail data show that the cumulative sales of Xingtuo cars in 2023 were 58309, of which Xingtuo Yaoguang sold 24939 vehicles, accounting for 42.77% of the total sales, followed by Xingtu Lingyun and Xingtuo Moon, with 15208 and 10286 respectively. At present, although expensive for the Chery high-end brand, but the sense of existence of Xingtuo Motor in the car market is not strong, the upward development of Xingtuo Motor brand is still hindered and long.
