In view of the above defects, Toyota Hainan Travel Co., Ltd. will upgrade the transmission control software for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.

The announcement shows that due to the wrong ignition coil installed in the recall area, the ignition characteristics of the ignition coil are different for the ignition signal issued by ECU, and the discharge energy of the ignition coil may be reduced. Under extreme operating conditions, the combustion status of the mixture may deviate from the ideal state of vehicle development, and there is an unreasonable emission risk. In view of the above defects, Subaru Motor (China) Co., Ltd. will replace the correct ignition coil for the vehicles within the recall to eliminate the risk of unreasonable emissions.
