On May 5, a fire broke out at a car shop in Dongguan, Guangdong, injuring two people and damaging many cars. The fire was caused by a man who set fire in the car shop. It was found that the man had a dispute with the car company over the purchase problem.

According to the local police, the burning building is a two-story steel structure with a construction area of about 1012 square meters and a fire area of about 300m2. The site of the fire is the business hall and maintenance workshop. The main burning materials are small vehicles, computers, paper documents and other combustible materials, burning more than 10 vehicles. The cause of the fire was initially determined to be arson, and the suspect lit the gas tank for arson.

After preliminary investigation, suspect Liu had a dispute with a car dealership at about 17:11 on the 5th, resulting in the injury of suspect Liu, an employee of the car shop and damage to several cars. After receiving the report, the Liaobu Public Security Bureau quickly dispatched police to the scene and took the suspect Liu under control. Subsequently, the two injured were sent to hospital for treatment, both of which were not life-threatening.
