Limited-edition BMW XM Label Red models on sale in China will stop production from July this year, and only one car has not been sold in China at a price of 2.8 million yuan, BMW passenger reported. According to the report, the BMW XM with V8 engine is about to be discontinued in China, while the BMW XM 50e with in-line six-cylinder engine will not be affected and will continue to be produced and sold in China. The car costs 1.468 million yuan.

The BMW XM Label Red limited edition model and the BMW XM 50e are both on sale at the 2023 Chengdu Motor Show. Among them, the BMW XM Label Red is limited to 500 units and sells for 2.8 million yuan, which is the most expensive SUV model in the BMW family. The appearance of BMW XM Label Red uses black and red color matching design, the front face uses BMW's classic "double kidney" grille design, the grille edge is embellished with red trimmings, the internal net uses horizontal strip layout, and both sides are equipped with split headlight group design, the overall vision is very domineering, and the side windows of the body are also surrounded by red lines, with black paint, which is very dazzling.

In terms of power, the BMW XM Label Red Limited Edition is equipped with an upgraded 4.4T V8 turbocharged engine + hybrid system with a maximum power of 748hp and a maximum torque of 1000 Nm, matching an eight-speed manual self-integrated gearbox and xDrive all-wheel drive system.

The BMW XM 50e sells for 1.468 million yuan, and the appearance of the car uses the unique S ã o Paulo yellow as the main tone, in sharp contrast to many black highlight body details and side decoration belt itinerary, the overall sports attribute is full, and the interior part is the same as the XM Label Red limited edition, using a dual large screen and M sports style steering wheel. The power is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system of 3.0T twin-turbocharged in-line six-cylinder gasoline engine and high-performance motor, with a comprehensive maximum power of 350kW/476 horsepower and a peak torque of 700Nm.

It is understood that the BMW XM, independently developed by BMW's M department, is the second independent model in the M series and the first M hybrid drive system model. On December 15th of the same year, BMW Group announced the official launch of Innovation BMW XM in China with a suggested retail price of 2.3 million yuan, which mainly competes with Mercedes-Benz BMW XM AMG, Audi RS Q8, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT and other models in the car market. Since then, the BMW Group has also limited the sale of BMW XM Label Red models.

As a car with a price of nearly 3 million yuan, there is nothing wrong with the suspension of the limited edition of the BMW XM Label Red. After all, models that are too expensive are not suitable for the mass consumer market.

It is reported that from the production month of this year, BMW Group will start production of a special version of the BMW XM in China, targeting high-performance models, but the information about the car in the market is still very limited and more information needs to be released by the authorities.
