On April 3, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products. As of April 4, 2024, the following vehicles will be recalled.

First, recall some Dongfeng Nissan brand Xinxiaoke, Qijun cars, a total of 25715. The details are as follows: some of the 2021 new cars produced during the period from October 20 to December 1, 2021, a total of 24722; and some of the 2021 Qijun cars produced from October 27, 2021 to December 23, 2021, a total of 993.

The reason for the recall is that some vehicles within the scope of this recall due to manufacturing reasons, the welding position of the right front triangular arm is offset, resulting in insufficient strength. In extreme cases, the welding part of the right front triangular arm may crack due to the impact of external force, resulting in sudden deviation of the vehicle, and there is a hidden danger of safety. In view of the above defects, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. will check the production batch number of the right front triangular arm for the vehicles within the recall scope, and replace the right front triangular arm which belongs to the risk batch free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.

It is worth mentioning that this recall belongs to the expanded recall of "Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. recalls some of the new Dongfeng Nissan cars" issued on April 22, 2022. At that time, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products. A total of 1752 Dongfeng Nissan brand Xinxiao passenger cars manufactured from October 26, 2021 to October 30, 2021 will be recalled from April 22, 2022. The reason for the recall is that the strength of the front triangular arm of some vehicles within the scope of this recall does not meet the requirements due to the offset of the welding position. In extreme cases, the welding part of the front triangular arm may crack due to the impact of external force, resulting in sudden deviation of the vehicle, and there is a hidden danger of safety. In view of this defect, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. will check the production batch number of the front triangle arm for the vehicles within the recall scope, and replace the front triangle arm which belongs to the risk batch free of charge, in order to eliminate the safety hidden danger.

Second, recall some Infiniti brand Q50L and QX50 cars, a total of 60851 vehicles. The details are as follows: 40730 Q50L vehicles of 2016-2018 model produced during the period from November 1, 2016 to October 31, 2018; 8392 QX50 vehicles of 2016-2017 model, produced from November 1, 2016 to October 28, 2017; and 11729 QX50 vehicles of 2018 model produced from May 1, 2018 to November 30, 2018.

The reason for the recall is that due to manufacturing reasons, the passenger classification system (OCS) may be damaged, resulting in the failure of the passenger classification system (OCS), causing OCS status lights and instrument airbag indicators to light up, and turning off the co-driver airbag to unfold the function. When a vehicle collision accident occurs, the co-driver airbag can not be deployed normally, which will increase the injury risk of the co-driver, and there is a safety hidden danger. In view of the above defects, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. will replace the improved OCS sensor for vehicles within the recall range free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.
