According to the discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Supervision Commission of Xianning City discipline Inspection Commission in Hubei Province, Pan Jiannian, supervisor of Dongfeng Company China Dongfeng Automobile Industry Import and Export Co., Ltd., is suspected of serious violation of discipline and the law, and is currently under disciplinary examination and supervision investigation by the discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and Xianan District Supervisory Committee of Xianning City, Hubei Province.

Data show that Pan Jiannian is the "old man" of Dongfeng Motor and joined Dongfeng Automobile in 1987. He has served as the manager of the accounting branch of the Finance Department of DPCA, the minister of the service spare parts department of Dongfeng Citroen Commerce Department, the head of Dongfeng Citroen sales department, the general manager of Dongfeng Citroen brand, and so on. In March 2014, Pan Jiannian, general manager of Dongfeng Citroen brand, was transferred to deputy secretary of the party committee of DPCA. In January 2017, the company held a cadre meeting, in which Gao Dalin was appointed secretary of the party committee, secretary of the discipline inspection committee, and acting chairman of the trade union. Pan Jiannian will no longer serve as deputy secretary of the party committee of DPCA. Before being investigated, Pan Jiannian worked in three enterprises, namely, China Dongfeng Automobile Industry Import and Export Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Dingxin Power system Technology Co., Ltd., and Wuhan Shenlong Hongtai Investment Co., Ltd., all served as supervisors.

A number of general managers of Peugeot Citroen brand have been investigated! Prior to Pan Jiannian, the Dongfeng Commission for discipline Inspection issued a circular in December 2023. Gao Xianli, former special manager of the Marketing Center of Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd., and Rao Jie, former head of the New Business Strategy Promotion Office of the Product Planning Department of Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd., were investigated on suspicion of serious violations of discipline and law.

It is understood that Rao Jie has successively served as regional director of Dongfeng Citroen sales department, director of marketing product platform, minister of personnel administration, and minister of service. In April 2016, DPCA announced the appointment of Rao Jie as general manager of Dongfeng Citroen brand department. Chen Xi, then general manager of Dongfeng Citroen brand, returned to Dongfeng Company and joined Dongfeng Renault as vice president and minister of marketing and sales the next month. In October 2017, Rao Jie, general manager of Dongfeng Citroen brand, resigned and became the head of the New Business Strategy Promotion Office of the DPCA Product Planning Department, responsible for new energy, used cars, spare parts and other services.

According to incomplete public reports, Zhang Yuguang, former head of Dongfeng Citroen Brand Department of Shenlong Company, Yang Ning, former vice minister of Dongfeng Citroen Brand Department, and Dong Anyin, former vice minister of Dongfeng Peugeot Brand Department of Shenlong Company, were successively investigated on suspicion of serious job violations. On August 13, 2021, Chen Xi, former general manager of Dongfeng Citroen brand of DPCA, and Sun Yiwen, former head of marketing department of Dongfeng Citroen brand department of DPCA, were investigated and taken retention measures.

It is understood that Chen Xi joined DPCA in 1995 and successively held the positions of senior manager of the Marketing Department and the Commerce Department of DPCA. Later, he worked for Dongfeng Citroen and served as director of the sales department, director of the marketing department and minister of the service spare parts department. In May 2011, Chen Xi was transferred to Dongfeng Peugeot to take over the post of sales minister. In March 2014, Chen Xi returned to Dongfeng Citroen as general manager of Dongfeng Citroen brand. In May 2016, Chen Xi officially joined Dongfeng Renault as vice president and minister of marketing and sales. In October 2018, Hong Hao took over Chen Xi as vice president of Dongfeng Renault, responsible for marketing, sales, after-sales, channel management, system construction and other areas of Dongfeng Renault, while Chen Xi separated from Dongfeng. After leaving Dongfeng Renault, Chen Xi joined Boxun Automobile, a new force in car building, as vice president of marketing and sales of Boxun Automobile. In April 2020, Dongfeng Renault announced its delisting. In July 2021, Chen Xi was investigated.

In October 2023, Dongfeng Automobile Group Co., Ltd. accepted the second round of inspection by the 20th Central Committee, and 15 inspection teams worked in the inspected units for about 2 months. It is understood that since the arrival of the central inspection team, at least 10 senior executives of Dongfeng Company have been investigated. On March 31, according to the discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Supervisory Commission of Hubei Provincial discipline Inspection Commission, Xu Tiansheng, commercial director of Dongfeng Automobile Group Co., Ltd., is suspected of serious violation of discipline and the law. He is currently under disciplinary examination and supervision investigation by the discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Shiyan City Supervisory Commission of Hubei Province.

Apart from Dongfeng, I am afraid there is no second car company that has demonstrated a continuous high-pressure anti-corruption situation. Of course, this also reflects from the side that the corruption within Dongfeng Company has gone deep into all aspects compared with other automobile groups, and it still needs more in-depth examination and investigation.
