Honda released data on new car sales in China in April and achieved 125407 new car sales in April, up 24 per cent from a year earlier to 460000 from January to April, up 14.6 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, Guangzhou Auto Honda accumulated 246623 vehicles in the first four months, up 9.6 percent from the same period last year; Dongfeng Honda accumulated 213918 vehicles in the first four months, up 21.1 percent from the same period last year.

One of the reasons for Honda's rapid growth in the first half of this year is that Honda suffered a sharp decline in sales in the same period last year, resulting in a low sales base and a higher growth rate after the recovery this year.

In April, Accord, Civic, CR-V, Feido, XR-V and Ling Pai sold more than 10, 000 models.

In terms of new cars, Dongfeng Honda has been listed, the car can be regarded as Ling Pai's brother model, all equipped with 1.0T three-cylinder engine, the launch of four configuration models with a price range of 9.98-136800 yuan. The hybrid version of Guangzhou Automobile Honda Odyssey is also officially on the market, with a price of 22.98-323800 yuan.

In addition, officials announced that Dongfeng Honda's new Civic will go on sale on May 17, and is expected to launch a sports version at the same time.

Honda had a capacity bottleneck in 2017, so it started the construction of a third plant. In April, Dongfeng Honda's third plant was officially put into production, with the primary model being the CR-V. As a result, Honda's total capacity in China has also risen to 1.25 million vehicles.

During the overall decline of China's auto market, Japanese brands maintained steady sales growth, reflecting the importance of brand strength and product strength.
