Including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Zhejiang Province (Taizhou), Shandong Province (Jining), Guangdong Province, Sichuan Province (Chengdu), Shaanxi Province (Xi'an), Qingdao and Xiamen, will soon become pilot areas for second-hand car export business.

It means that cars made in China will be sold to other countries in the form of used cars, so that consumers in other countries can also open up Chinese-made cars. The current situation that the export business of second-hand cars is basically zero in the past will be broken.

At present, the specific policy details have not yet been released, and the countries to which they are exported have not been specified. Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the Federation of passengers, said, "at present, the target market for the export of used cars may include Southeast Asian countries, including countries along the Belt and Road Initiative route."

Some analysts believe that the development of second-hand car export business will obviously stimulate the second-hand car market, promote the gradual maturity of the second-hand car industry, stimulate the vitality of the domestic automobile consumption market, bring direct economic benefits to domestic automobile sales, and promote the healthy development of China's automobile industry.

In April this year, Gao Feng, a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, said that the policy of restricting the relocation of used cars would be completely abolished. The above series of news and policies are conducive to the maturity of the automobile market.

According to the statistics of the China Automobile Circulation Association, the trading volume of used vehicles in China reached 13.8219 million in 2018, an increase of 11% over the same period last year. The slump in the new car market may mean that the used car market has great potential for development.
