AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)05/14 Report--
On May 11, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration issued the latest recall announcement. Changan Ford Motor Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the Administration of defective Automobile products recall and the measures for the implementation of defective Automobile products recall regulations. Decided to recall the following vehicles.
1. From now on, a total of 14883 Ruijie L vehicles produced during the period from August 1, 2022 to August 2, 2023 will be recalled.
The reason for the recall is that due to manufacturing reasons, the electronic parking brake motor may be short-circuited in some vehicles within the scope of the recall, resulting in the electronic parking brake can not be started or lifted, resulting in safety risks. The recall was carried out under the circumstances that the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration launched a defect investigation. Affected by the investigation, Changan Ford Motor Co., Ltd. will, through authorized dealers, replace electronic parking brake motors for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.
It is understood that Ruijie L is a SUV model under Changan Ford. In April 2023, the new Ruijie L was listed with the guidance price of 22.98-279800 yuan for fuel version and 24.98-309800 yuan for E-hybrid version. As a replacement model, the new car has undergone great changes compared with the previous generation, the previous generation of Ruijie uses the CD4 platform, while the new Ruijie L is built on the C2 platform, the appearance adopts a new design style, the whole is younger, the size is 5000/1961/1773mm, the wheelbase 2950mm, the main space, using 2 "2" 3 and 2 "3" 2 two different forms of seven-seat layout. Ruijie L also introduced a hybrid system for the first time. In power, the fuel version is equipped with a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 185kw and a maximum torque of 378N ·m, matched with a 8AT gearbox; a 2.0T hybrid model with a maximum power of 202kW and a maximum torque of 405Nm, matched with an E-CVT gearbox.
Ruijie is the third SUV model launched by Changan Ford after the winged tiger and wingpin. The first-generation Ford Ruijie went on sale in December 2010 with a price range of 36.98-429800; the second-generation Ruijie went on sale in April 2015 with a price range of 24.98-429800 yuan. As a 7-seat medium-sized SUV model of Changan Ford, Ruijie was once one of Hanlanda's strongest rivals. At that time, Ruijie also amazed many people after it was made in China. Ford's sharp sales from 2015 to 2017 were 65152, 123690 and 106956, respectively, leading Toyota's Hanlanda for three years in a row, according to FIFA wholesale sales. But the good times didn't last long, and then Ruijie's sales began to decline, falling to 59892 vehicles in 2018, nearly halving compared with 2017.
In August 2019, Changan Ford's new Ruijie ST-line and new Ruijie ST officially went on sale at a price of 26.98-389800 yuan. In December 2020, the mid-term revamped Ford Ruijie was officially launched, the new car was renamed "Ruijie PLUS", and the appearance and interior were redesigned with a price range of 22.98-309800 yuan. However, due to the iterative model and the fierce competition in the medium-sized SUV market, Ruijie gradually opened the gap with Hanlanda. Figures show that Ruijie sold 22997 vehicles in 2022, while Hanlanda sold 87108.
Compared with previous generations of models, Ruijie L has made adjustments in appearance, interior decoration and configuration, and even launched a hybrid version for the first time, which also means the front hard steel Hanlanda. Retail data show that Ruijie L accumulated sales of 25502 vehicles in 2023, accounting for only 17.91% of Changan Ford's total sales of 142417 vehicles. In addition, the latest data show that from January to April this year, Ruijie L accumulated sales of 6019 vehicles, monthly sales of 2755 vehicles, 1231 vehicles, 2033 vehicles and 1843 vehicles respectively, which is significantly different from that of Halanda. Hanlanda sold 22329 vehicles in the first four months of 2024.
In addition to Ruijie L Automobile, Changan Ford Motor Co., Ltd. also announced a recall of some Marsden Mach-E electric vehicles. From July 1, 2024, a total of 398 Marsden Mach-E electric vehicles manufactured during the period from July 27, 2021 to April 6, 2022 will be recalled. The reason for the recall is that in some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to differences in the design and parts of the main relay of the power battery high-voltage distribution box, the main relay is overheated, resulting in relay stickiness or abnormal disconnection. In extreme cases, the vehicle may not be able to start or lose power while driving, and there are hidden dangers to safety. In view of the above defects, Changan Ford Motor Co., Ltd. will, through authorized dealers, replace the power battery high-voltage distribution box for vehicles within the recall range free of charge, and upgrade the power control module and battery control module software to eliminate safety risks.
On the same day, Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products. It is decided that the following vehicles will be recalled from now on. Recall a total of 1776 imported Lincoln MKZ cars produced during the period from March 2, 2015 to July 28, 2015. The reason for the recall is that in some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the claw spring adjustment plate base of the door latch may break after being used for a long time, resulting in the door cannot be locked; or the locked door may be unlocked while the vehicle is running, increasing the risk of injury to the occupants and causing safety risks. In view of the above defects, Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. will entrust Lincoln brand authorized dealers to check the production date code of door latches for vehicles within the scope of recall free of charge, and if they belong to defective batches, replace four door latches to eliminate safety risks.
It is worth mentioning that this recall belongs to the expanded recall of "Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. recalls some imported Lincoln MKZ cars" issued on February 5, 2021. At that time, Ford recalled 2290 imported Lincoln MKZ cars made from June 11, 2014 to February 12, 2015, starting from March 1, 2021.
Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. was commissioned to recall a total of 9397 domestic Lincoln Voyager cars produced during the period from September 4, 2022 to August 2, 2023. The reason for the recall is that due to manufacturing reasons, the electronic parking brake motor may be short-circuited in some vehicles within the scope of the recall, resulting in the electronic parking brake can not be started or lifted, resulting in safety risks.
The recall was also carried out in the context of the defect investigation initiated by the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration. Affected by the investigation, Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. will entrust Lincoln brand authorized dealers to replace electronic parking brake motors for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.
