From the official leadership team structure map, we can see that the leading group of Dongfeng Motor Group has added two more people. Liu Yanhong, director and deputy secretary of the party committee of Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd., and Peng Yuanpu, deputy general manager and member of the standing Committee of the Party Committee of Dongfeng Automobile Group Co., Ltd.

According to public information, Liu Yanhong's work experience is very rich. He has served as deputy director of Shiyan Municipal Party School Office, Director of Party History Teaching and Research Office of Shiyan Municipal Party School, head of Organization Section of Shiyan Municipal Party School, Vice Chairman of Shiyan Women's Federation, member of standing Committee of Zhushan County Party Committee of Shiyan City, Minister of Organization Department, Deputy Director of Hubei Provincial Foreign Affairs and overseas Chinese Affairs Office, member of Enshi standing Committee, Minister of Organization Department, Deputy Minister of Organization Department of Hubei Provincial Party Committee, Party Secretary of Hubei Department of Human Resources and Social Security, Secretary of the leading Party Group of the Provincial Civil Service Bureau and Director of the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Hubei Province. Peng Yuanpu also has rich work experience, such as director of Guoji Automobile Co., Ltd., party committee secretary of China Yituo Group Co., Ltd., chairman and party committee secretary of China Automobile Industry Import and Export Co., Ltd.

It is worth mentioning that the leadership of Dongfeng Company has undergone many adjustments since it entered 2024. On March 27, Dongfeng announced that Zhou Zhiping was appointed as director, general manager and deputy secretary of the party committee of Dongfeng Automobile Group Co., Ltd., and was relieved from his post as deputy general manager and party committee standing committee member of China first Automobile Group Co., Ltd. On April 30, Huang Yong, party committee secretary and executive deputy general manager of FAW Toyota, was transferred to Dongfeng Co., Ltd. as deputy general manager of Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. At present, the leading group of Dongfeng Automobile Group is composed of Yang Qing, Zhou Zhiping, Liu Yanhong, Zhang Zutong, you Zheng, Feng Changjun, Huang Chuan, Huang Yong and Peng Yuanpu.

Dongfeng Automobile Group Co., Ltd., one of the leading enterprises in China's automobile industry, has its own brands and joint venture brands. Among them, joint venture brands include Dongfeng Nissan, Dongfeng Honda, Dongfeng Infiniti, Dragon Motor, while independent brands include Dongfeng Lantu, Dongfeng Fengshen, Dongfeng New Energy, Dongfeng Fashion and so on.

The joint venture brand, which is the main source of Dongfeng's sales, showed that Dongfeng Group sold 147206 vehicles in May, mainly supported by Dongfeng Nissan and Dongfeng Honda, which sold 59350 and 33002 vehicles respectively in May. Although Dongfeng Nissan and Dongfeng Honda support most of Dongfeng Group's sales, in fact, the sales performance of the two joint venture brands in the Chinese market has been declining in recent years. In May, for example, Dongfeng's daily production and sales fell 3.47% from a year earlier. Dongfeng Honda sold 33002 vehicles in May, down 30.09 per cent from a year earlier. At the same time, DPCA's sales were not optimistic in May, with sales of 6045 vehicles in May, down 24.48 per cent from a year earlier.

Do not worry about independent brands, Dongfeng Group's independent brands are Dongfeng Liuqi, Dongfeng Fengshen, Mengshi, Dongfeng Lantu and other brands, although there are many brands, but the sales performance is not very good. According to official May sales figures, Liuqi sold 6661 vehicles in May, Dongfeng Lantu sold 4521, Mengshi 110 and Dongfeng passenger cars 13824 in May.

According to the official plan, this year's sales target is to exceed 3.2 million vehicles, with cumulative sales of 811921 vehicles from January to May, meeting only 25.4 per cent of the annual target. Judging from the recent sales performance of Dongfeng Motor, the increase in sales of its joint venture brands is no longer so obvious, and the growth of sales of independent brands is also very slow. With the establishment of the new leadership, it remains to be seen whether it can improve Dongfeng Motor's sales in the second half of the year.
