According to data from the Federation of passengers, domestic sales of narrow passenger cars in the first half of the year were 9.839 million, up 3.2% from the same period last year, of which 421000 small SUV were sold, down 15.5% from the same period last year, accounting for 4.3% of the total market.

According to the sales list in the first half of the year, only 10 models sold more than 10, 000 vehicles. Geely Colored took the lead in the ranking with an absolute lead of 38320 vehicles, followed by BYD Yuan UP and Lecker 06, ranking second and third, with sales of 28094 and 25299 respectively. Among them, BYD Yuan UP is a brand-new model launched by BYD on March 26, with a price range of RMB 968-119800. It is BYD's first small SUV with e-platform 3.0, which is lower than Yuan plus and further fills the gap in BYD's A0-level SUV market.

In the top 10, Chuanqi GS3 ranked fourth with 21829 vehicles, while Wuling Xingchi, Changan CS35PLUS and Geely Geometry E fireflies from independent brands ranked 6th, 7th and 8th, with sales of 14431, 13858 and 13457 respectively.

There are three joint venture models in the top 10, namely the Honda XR-V, Honda Collective and Volkswagen Sensorship, but these models are mediocre compared to the past. The new Honda XR-V will go on sale in August 2022, while the new Honda Color Intelligence will be available in November 2022, with a price range of 13.29 yuan to 152900 yuan and still powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine. However, after the replacement of XR-V and colorful wisdom can hardly sell, soon after the market came out the news of price reduction and promotion, but the stimulus for the end market is still very limited. In 2023, the annual sales of XR-V was 52608, which was surpassed by Geely Colour, Linke 06 and Chuanqi GS3, and 39371 by Changan CS35PLUS and Wuling Xingchi.

In addition to the top 10 list, smart Elf # 1, Universiade Yuehu, Chery Tiger 5x, Nissan Jinke, Geely Lecker 06 New Energy, Baojun Yueya, Chery Rui Tiger 3x, Volkswagen Tudu Armour, Audi Q2L all have more than 5,000 vehicles, most of which are mainly fuel vehicles.

In addition, there are ten models with less than 1,000 vehicles, including FAW Senya R7, Honda e:NP1 Tippo 1, Ruilan X3 PRO, Dongfeng scenery E3, Peugeot 2008, Chevrolet Chuangku, Kia Sonai, Audi Q2L e-tron, Honda VE-1, and Qichen T60EV. Kia Sonai is a new small Kia SUV listed at the 2024 Beijing Motor Show, jointly developed and designed by Kia India and Kia's global R & D headquarters in South Korea. The price range is 9.19-100900 yuan. From the perspective of market performance, as a joint venture brand is not as good as the mainstream Honda, Volkswagen, etc., product performance is even worse than independent brands, resulting in its sales remain in the doldrums.

Let's take a look at the small car market. At present, the small car market has shrunk sharply, with a market share of less than 2%, but there are still more than 10,000 models sold. Including BYD seagull, Wuling colorful fruit, BYD dolphin, Ola good cat, Honda flying, of which the highest-selling BYD seagull is 167861, while the once-popular Honda flying is only 1,000.
