As a reference, the current cash on sale AION V guidance price range of 14.99-199900 yuan. As a new generation of models, the new AION V is based on the AEP pure electric platform, with substantial updates in both internal and external designs, and focuses on the layout of smart cars.

As a replacement model, the second generation AION V adopts a new design language in appearance, and its design inspiration is related to the design of "Tyrannosaurus Rex". The interior of the rectangular headlamp group on both sides uses an "H"-shaped lamp band, which is as conspicuous as the protruding toes on the dragon's claws, while the front enclosure uses a through heat dissipation opening design with silver-gray front lip decoration. The overall characteristic lines of the whole vehicle are straighter and stronger than those of the previous generation.

As a replacement model, the side and rear of the car are also shaped with strong lines with rectangular elements, and the front and rear of the car uses slightly raised wheel eyebrow lines, dark anti-friction panels and a new style of wheel shape to enhance the muscular feel of the vehicle. At the same time, the car also uses a hidden door handle and two-color roof design to enhance the car's sense of fashion. In the rear part, the new car uses a vertical layout taillight group, together with the upper large size spoiler, which greatly increases the recognition of the vehicle.

In terms of size, the length, width and height of the second generation AION V are 4605 to 1854 (1876) / 1660 (1686) mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2775mm. For reference, the length, width and height of the current AION V are 4650/1920/1720mm and the wheelbase is 2830mm. By comparison, the overall size of the second-generation AION V is smaller than that of the current AION V, especially the wheelbase is reduced by 55mm.

In terms of interior decoration, the new car uses a double-spoke multi-function steering wheel, with narrow bar LCD instruments and suspended large-size central control screen, full of sense of science and technology. Compared with the previous generation model, the air conditioning outlet in the middle is moved down to the central Console part, thus making the horizontal line more complete, and the natural transition to the door handrail part, the shape of the door handrail increases a slope.

The second-generation AION V master and auxiliary seat is equipped with massage function, including car refrigerator, panoramic skylight, electric sunshade, V2L external discharge, 9 speakers, voice wake-up AI assistant and so on. In addition, the second-generation AION V spare compartment has a height of 750mm and a capacity of 987L when the rear seat is put down.

In the power part, the second generation AION V provides both high and low power pure electric power systems, both of which adopt the layout of a single motor. Among them, the maximum power of low power motor is 150 kilowatts, and the maximum power of high power motor is 165 kilowatts. The new car will provide battery packs with a capacity of 62.268 kilowatt hours and 75.26 kilowatt hours, with a pure electric mileage of 520km and 650km, according to the MIIT.

The AION V, the third model of GAC Ean (previously AION S and AION LX), launched in June 2020 with a five-seat SUV for compact pure electricity, with a subsidised price range of Rmb15.96-239600. In September 2021, GAC Eian launched a medium-term modification-AION V Plus, with a price range of 17.26-239600 yuan.

The main competition products of Ian AION V in the domestic market are pure electric compact SUV such as BYD Song PLUS EV. The data show that the cumulative sales of AION V, AION S and AION Y are 8582, 72088 and 74241 respectively in the first half of the year. It can be seen that AION V contributes little to the overall sales of the Ian brand. After the launch of the second-generation model, it remains to be tested whether the sales of the AION V can be improved.

GAC Ean, formerly known as GAC NE, was founded in July 2017. after its launch, it was highly expected by GAC GROUP, and its sales continued to rise for many years. At the 2020 Guangzhou Auto Show, Guangzhou Auto Eian announced its independence and changed its name from GAC NE Automobile Co., Ltd. to Guangqi Ean New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. In 2023, GAC Security sold 380000 vehicles a year, an increase of 77.02% over the same period last year. It is worth mentioning that most of this sales growth is supported by the ride-hailing market. GAC Eian is known as the "king of ride-hailing". The AION S and AION Y models of 12-150000 yuan have become the first choice for ride-hailing. As a result, GAC Ean quickly occupied the ride-hailing market. However, with the gradual saturation of the ride-hailing market, GAC Ean faces the challenge of declining sales. After entering 2024, under the background of accelerating the price and configuration of the internal volume of the major independent brands, GAC Ean began to turn sharply.

In the first half of the year, GAC Ean New Energy sold a total of 126300 vehicles, down 39.65% from the same period last year, making it the brand with the biggest decline under GAC GROUP. It is understood that GAC Ean sales have declined for five months in a row, while GAC EAN sales target is 700000 vehicles in 2024, while 18% of the target sales are completed by June, and the next seven months sales need to be stable at more than 95000 vehicles, under great pressure. it's almost impossible.
