AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)08/01 Report--

The Audi A6 e-tron family made its world debut on July 31st. The new car has launched two body forms: Sportback coupe and Avant station wagon, and a S6 e-tron performance version.

The large pure electric car in the new car positioning is the second model developed by PPE pure electric platform after Audi Q6 e-tron. The PPE platform is a new electric vehicle platform used by Audi and Porsche. It is understood that the follow-up Audi A6 e-tron will be domestic, and the size will be lengthened like the domestic Audi Q6L e-tron, which may be named Audi A6L e-tron as soon as possible in early 2025.

In terms of appearance, the new car basically continues the previously released concept car design concept, the front face uses a large area polygonal closed grille design, the middle is inlaid with the brand LOGO logo, on both sides with slender and sharp split headlamp groups, LED daily running lights are composed of countless luminous bodies, which are highly recognizable after lighting. The front enclosure is covered with a large number of black decorations, and diversion grooves are designed on both sides to enhance the sense of movement of the vehicle.

On the side of the body, the new car adopts slip-back body style design, and the body is relatively slender in visual effect. In addition, the highlight of the new car lies in the use of built-in door handles and blackening of window frames to enhance the sense of movement of the vehicle. In the rear part, the overall design of the new car is more full, with the very popular through taillight group design, the middle is also inlaid with the brand LOGO, which can be lit at night, and the lower part is surrounded by a black diffuser, which makes the whole quite sporty. In addition, the tail mark of the new car is marked with "A6". According to reports, the future A6 will become an exclusive electric model, while the next generation of fuel version A6 will be named A7. According to the official statement, future fuel version models will use odd series, while pure electric models will use even series.

In terms of size, Audi A6 e-tron Sportback coupe length, width and height are 4928/1923/1487mm, wheelbase 2946mm, Audi A6 e-tron Avant travel car length, width and height are 4928/1923/1527mm, wheelbase is 2946mm. By contrast, the height of the station wagon version is higher than that of the sedan version (40mm).

In terms of interior decoration, the new car uses the Audi family's latest interior design language, the center console adopts the design concept that surrounds the driver, and is equipped with an integrated curved screen consisting of 11.9 inches and 14.5 inches, and the Android Automotive OS operating system is built into the car. In addition, the new car shift mechanism has also changed from an electronic gear to a smaller electronic slider style, and provides a 10.9-inch co-driver entertainment screen for co-driver passengers, which is more concise as a whole, but without losing the sense of technology.

On the power side, the Audi A6 e-tron is based on the PPE pure electric platform and will be available in rear-drive, all-wheel drive and S-performance versions. Among them, the maximum power of the Audi A6 Sportback e-tron rear-drive version is 210kW and 270kW respectively, the high-power model is equipped with 100kWh battery pack, with a range of more than 750km, and the maximum power of the four-wheel drive version is 315kW, which is super-700km. The Audi A6 Avant e-tron is equipped with a 100kWh battery pack with a maximum battery life exceeding the 720km.

China, Audi's largest single market in the world, has three joint ventures: FAW-Volkswagen, SAIC Audi and Audi FAW, but has not performed well in the Chinese market. According to the official website, Audi currently sells new energy vehicles in China, including Q2L e-tron, A6L e-tron, Q4 e-tron, e-tron, Q5L e-tron and so on, but the sales performance is not excellent. Retail data show that in the first half of this year, the highest-selling model was the Q4 e-tron, with sales of 7471, Q5 e-tron of 2200, e-tron of 304 and Q2L e-tron of only 7.

At present, the pattern of the electric car market is being reshaped, while Audi is accelerating the transformation of electrification. The arrival of the Audi A6 e-tron also means that the Audi brand has taken another big step in the field of electric transformation. At present, Audi has four electrified platforms to choose from, among which PPE is the most competitive platform, Audi Q6L e-tron is the first model based on PPE platform, and this Audi A6 e-tron is the second model based on this platform. It remains to be seen whether the next two models can play a leading role. From the perspective of the positioning of the new car, it is expected that the follow-up new car will compete with BMW i5, Xilai ET7, Avita 12, Mercedes-Benz EQE and other models, but as the price of the new car has not yet been determined, the follow-up "automotive industry concern" will also continue to pay attention.

According to the plan, Audi's new models for the global market will be fully switched to pure electric vehicles from 2026, and the production of internal combustion engine models will be gradually stopped by 2033, when Audi's own production base around the world will be put into electric car production. In terms of product segmentation, some bloggers have revealed that Audi plans to launch new Q2L and A3 models in the second half of this year; new Q5L, A4L and A6L e-tron models in 2025; and new A6L, Q7 and Q3 and new flagship Q9 models in 2026.
