That is, the concept car OCEAN-M, which was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show earlier, was officially named "Seal 06 GT". It is understood that the new car is positioned as a pure electric medium-sized sedan, based on the e-platform 3.0 Evo. Zhang Zhuo pointed out in the Weibo content that the model, which combines many of BYD's global pioneering technologies, brings outstanding performance in the aspects of aesthetics, safety, comfort, intelligence and efficiency, and was officially unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 30.

In terms of appearance, the Seal 06 GT uses a family design style, the front grille is closed, and the whole front face of the vehicle looks simple and stylish. The unique shape of the headlamp group is matched on both sides, which is highly recognizable after lighting. There are large air intakes on both sides of the body, which are combined with the raised ribs and lines of the cabin cover, making the front face of the vehicle look very fighting. The front face is designed with a C-shaped spoiler structure, which is surrounded by exaggerated black, which greatly enhances the movement flavor of the vehicle.

Body: the use of hatchback style, with a number of smooth lines, to create a dynamic body outline, so that the appearance of the vehicle looks very long. The surrounding position of the window is decorated with blackened strips to highlight the sports performance of the vehicle. In addition, it is also equipped with hidden door handles, suspended roof and petal-style wheels. The rear surround position of the tail adopts a large-size diffuser, and both sides are equipped with slender identification lights, which have a sense of "small steel cannon" after lighting.

In terms of body size, the new car has a body size of 4630mm*1880mm*1490mm and a wheelbase of 2820mm. With reference to this size, as a medium-sized car, the internal space experience of this size should be quite good.

Interior decoration: family design is adopted, with a suspended LCD screen in the middle, a large control area panel in the car, a mobile phone wireless charging module, a crystal shift mechanism in the rear, and a round style of physical keypads. In terms of power, according to the earlier declaration information, the new car will provide two power layouts of single-motor rear-drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive, of which the single-motor rear-drive model provides two kinds of drive motors with different power, with a maximum power of 160 kilowatts and 165 kilowatts respectively. The front axle of the dual-motor four-wheel drive model is equipped with AC asynchronous motor with a maximum power of 110 kilowatts and the rear axle is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 200 kilowatts. In terms of range, the new car will carry battery packs with a capacity of 59.52 kWh and 72.96 kWh, with a range of 505 km, 605 km and 550 km. In terms of price, refer to the positioning of Seal 06 GT, its price may be between dolphin and seal EV, and the price is expected to fluctuate around 150000 yuan.

As the first GT model of BYD Ocean Network, officials are very optimistic about its follow-up development, calling it "the industry's first hatchback rear drive pure electric steel gun". It is the first GT created by BYD Ocean Network, which will promote the development of Seal cars in the direction of diversification and serialization, especially for young consumers.

According to the official plan, by 2026, Ocean net will complete the layout of 14 models, forming a full-product matrix. Oceannet is one of the main sources of BYD's sales, with figures showing that it sold 152767 vehicles in July and a cumulative sales of 894451 from January to July. With the launch of the Seal 06 GT, the sales of Oceannet are expected to further increase.
