On August 26, Hongmeng Zhijie brand's brand new model, the Zhijie R7, officially made its debut. The new car, jointly built by Huawei and Chery, is the second model of the Wisdom brand, positioning pure electric medium-sized SUV, and is Hongmeng Zhihang's first sedan SUV. The new car is expected to go on sale in September at a price range of 30 to 400000 yuan.

In terms of appearance, the new car continues the family design language of Hong Meng Zhixing, and the front face shape is similar to that of the Zhijie S7. It adopts the popular closed grille design, with iconic tear-eye headlamps on both sides, and the central part is equipped with through-type LED daytime driving lights design. The interior of the headlight group is composed of three lenses, equipped with Hongmeng's latest intelligent headlamp system, and the lower part extends the air intake, making the overall look and feel of fashion and movement. The lower surround continues to retain the lower diversion groove, and the surrounding area is decorated with chromium plating, which is simple and severe in visual effect.

On the side of the body, the lines of the new car are very smooth, with a short front and rear suspension and a long wheelbase design, while a watchtower lidar is installed on the roof, with hidden door handles, red brake calipers and a 20-inch double five-spoke wheel design to further enhance the sense of movement of the vehicle. In terms of body color, the new car offers a total of six colors: classic ceramic white, deep space gray, gilded black, metropolitan red, phantom purple and clear blue.

In the rear part, the new car taillight is also designed with a penetrating taillight group, which is similar to the intelligence S7 and has a higher degree of recognition after lighting. According to the positioning of the new car, it is expected that the new car will compete in Tesla Model Y, Xilai EC6, Tengli N7 and other models after its launch. Zhijie is a brand jointly built by Chery and Huawei. The first model is the Zhijie S7, which went on sale in November 2023. In April this year, the new Zhijie S7 launched a total of five models with a price range of 2498 yuan to 349800 yuan, which is 20, 000 yuan lower than the starting price of the old model.

Retail data show that Zhijie S7 sold 18500 vehicles from January to July, including 2306 in June and 1541 in July, well below other Hongmeng Zhihang models. In response, the cumulative sales of the M7, M9 and M5 in the first seven months were 122200, 76000 and 22000 respectively.

As the second mass-produced model of Hongmeng Zhixing Zhijie series, the listing of Zhijie R7 undertakes the important task of boosting brand sales. As to whether the success of the new car can be replicated after the launch, the price is undoubtedly the most critical link. People in the industry said that if new cars want to hit the market, they need to be more aggressive in pricing. Of course, it should be noted that the current homogenization of new cars in the auto market is serious. As a new brand, it is also difficult for new products to stand out after they appear on the market, and they are bound to face fierce competition.
