As a medium-term revamped model, the new Volvo XC90, which is mainly aimed at the appearance and interior design, has opened a reservation in the European market and plans to start production and delivery by the end of the year. The domestic market listing plan has not yet been announced. As a reference, the official guidance price of Volvo XC90 fuel version on sale in China is 63.89-781900 yuan, while that of XC90 PHEV is 894900 yuan.

In terms of appearance, the overall style of the new Volvo XC90 is consistent with the current model, China net adopts a new design, the cross diagonal design shows a new sense of vision, the "Thor Hammer" LED headlight group is connected to the medium net, the irregular stripes decoration inside the headlight group echoes with the medium net, and air intake decoration is designed on both sides. The design of the front is the same as that of the EX90, which is still a minimalist design idea. the new car is equipped with a penetrating front enclosure, and the decorations on both sides of the front are changed to vertical strips.

The side of the body is still consistent with the shape of the current model, with a straight waistline running through the whole body, retaining a mechanical outer door handle, providing a new style of dense spokes aluminum alloy rims, and a charging interface on the left front wing of the plug-in hybrid model. In the rear part, the tail of the new Volvo XC90 is basically the same as the current model, the lighting style of the LED lamp group has been updated, and the style of the taillight has changed, which makes it look more simple as a whole, which is divided into two parts.

In terms of interior, the new Volvo XC90 has the same overall layout as the EX90, with a larger suspended central control screen of 11.2 inches, a higher screen resolution, and a new interface that keeps it up to date. The central control screen uses the latest suspension design, and the size of the screen has been improved and the style of the steering wheel has been fine-tuned, but the classic style has been retained as much as possible, and the physical buttons on the lower part of the central control screen have been retained. The new Volvo XC90 adjusts the layout of the storage space in the sub-dashboard. In addition to the cup holder, the new Volvo XC90 also provides a mobile phone storage slot with a wireless charging board and a new style crystal shift lever.

In terms of power, the new Volvo XC90 will provide T8 plug-in hybrid, B5/B6 fuel version and other power versions for users to choose from. The new Volvo XC90 T8 plug-in hybrid version continues to carry a 2.0T engine with an integrated maximum power of 335kW, a maximum torque of 709Nm and a pure electric mileage of 70km under WLTP conditions. B5 and B6 are equipped with 2.0T engine + 48 V light mixing system, B5 has a maximum power of 184 kilowatts and maximum torque of 350 Nm, and B6 has a maximum power of 220 kW and a maximum torque of 420 Nm.

At the same time, Volvo announced that it will formally abandon its strategic goal of achieving full electrification by 2030. The new target plans to achieve 90% of 100% of the models by 2030 consisting of pure electric and plug-in models, leaving the remaining 10% for 48V light hybrid models. By 2025, the proportion of Volvo electrified models will reach 50%, 60%, and pure electric models will be launched to cover the entire system by 2030. Turn to full electrification at the right time, with zero carbon emissions expected by 2040.

The Volvo XC90, a medium-to-large Volvo SUV, unveiled its first-generation model at the 2002 Detroit auto show and was only revamped in 2007. Volvo held a new generation of XC90 in Stockholm in August 2014 and introduced it into the Chinese market in July 2015 with a price of RMB79.8-1.0178 million. The new Volvo XC90 released this time is a medium-term modification of the second-generation model, 12 years after the replacement, although the car has been active in the medium and large SUV market, but it has not been replaced, it is unable to face the current market competition.

As a medium and large SUV, Volvo XC90's competing models include brilliance BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7 and so on.
