On September 5th, China Insurance Research C-IASI announced the first results of the 2024 evaluation of models, involving ideal MEGA, BMW i5, Ian Haopin HT, Xiaomi SU7, Toyota Corolla Ruifang, extreme Krypton 007, ideal L6, Jianghuai Ruifeng RF8 a total of 8 models, the test models are still relatively hot models in the market, of which new energy vehicles account for the majority, a total of 6 models.

China Insurance Research C-IASI conducted four tests on the above models, including "crashworthiness and maintenance economy", "occupant safety", "pedestrian safety" and "vehicle auxiliary safety". Among them, G+ means excellent +; G means excellent; A means good, M means general; P means poor, from good to bad. Judging from the test results, the eight models tested this time did not have a full G rating, but did not have a P rating. On the contrary, the vast majority of the models reached the G + or G rating, and the overall performance was very strong. In terms of subdivision, a total of 7 models were rated G+ or G in the three tests of "in-car occupant safety", "outsider safety" and "vehicle auxiliary safety".

FAW Toyota Corolla Ruifang is the only model that only gets M rating in the evaluation of "occupant safety". Its performance in occupant side 25% offset collision and front 50% offset collision is only M rating, and the seatbelt reminder system is rated A. In addition, Karolaari was rated An in crashworthiness and maintenance economy, and G+ and G in the pedestrian Safety and vehicle Auxiliary Safety tests.

Carol Larry is a compact SUV model owned by FAW Toyota, which is sister to Guangzhou Automobile Toyota Fenglanda. Both are based on Toyota TNGA-C platform and are currently priced in the range of 12.98-184800 yuan. In the car market, they mainly compete with Honda colorful Intelligence and XR-V, Nissan Xiaoke and other models. Retail data show that in the first seven months of this year, the Corolla Ruifang sold a cumulative total of 96000 vehicles, with an average monthly sales of about 13000, second only to the Fenglanda (116000) among Toyota's compact SUV models.

Overall, in the "crashworthiness and maintenance economy" test, the highest performance rating of 8 models is A, with a total of 6 models, including ideal MEGA, BMW i5, Xiaomi SU7, Toyota Corolla Ruifang, ideal L6, Jianghuai Ruifeng RF8, while Ian Hauplatinum HT and Polar Krypton 007 are M rated.

So what is the sub-index of crashworthiness and maintenance economy? To put it simply, crashworthiness refers to the ability of the vehicle to resist collision deformation at low speed (15km/h), which is mainly divided into frontal collision and rear collision, while maintenance economy refers to the maintenance cost after the deformation of the vehicle structure. For consumers, it is directly related to the later maintenance of vehicles, so this evaluation is of great significance, but few car companies can get G rating in the historical evaluation. There are also no G-rated models in this test, and the best performance rating is A (good).

Subdivided into major models, ideal MEGA, Ian Haopin HT, Xiaomi SU7, extreme Krypton 007 and ideal L6 all got the G+ (excellent +) rating in the three tests of "occupant safety", "pedestrian safety" and "vehicle auxiliary safety", but they performed differently in the "crashworthiness and maintenance economy" test. Ideal MEGA, Xiaomi SU7 and ideal L6 performed well and got A rating. And the two models of Aianhao Platinum HT and Polar Krypton 007 are slightly inferior, showing an average performance and getting an M rating.

Overall, the best performers of the eight models are ideal MEGA, Xiaomi SU7 and ideal L6, all of which are brand-new models listed this year.

Among them, ideal MEGA is the fourth new car under ideal Automobile, and it is also the first pure electric MPV under ideal Automobile. It went on sale on March 1 this year. The new car only launched one model with a price of 559800 yuan. At the scene of the new car launch, ideal car CEO Li Xiang said that the MEGA would be the next hot product of the ideal car, and he was confident that he would become the first seller of more than 500000, but in the end, he failed to achieve his wish. The ideal L6 went on the market in April, positioning five-seat medium-sized SUV, launching Pro version and Max version, with a price of 249800 yuan and 279800 yuan, which is the first model of an ideal car below 300000 yuan, and immediately became an ideal popular car model. Retail data show that from April to July, ideal L6 sales were 2381, 12965, 23864 and 24856 respectively, showing a gradual upward trend, and sales exceeded 20, 000 for two consecutive months.

As for Xiaomi SU7, it took Xiaomi three years to build a blockbuster model, and it is also Xiaomi's first model, based on Xiaomi Modena platform architecture, positioning C-class high-performance eco-tech sedan, which went on sale on March 28th at a price of 21.59-299900 yuan. the power provides a choice of dual-motor version and single-motor version. Retail data show that since the launch of Xiaomi SU7, Xiaomi SU7 has sold 43120 vehicles by the end of July, of which 14300 and 13100 vehicles were sold from June to July, respectively, selling more than 10,000 vehicles for two consecutive months.
