(1) BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd.: a total of 411 X5M cars were imported from March 16, 2023 to May 15, 2024; a total of 149X6M cars were imported from March 23, 2023 to April 22, 2024; and 4282 X6 cars were imported from February 23, 2023 to June 6, 2024. A total of 16965 X7 cars were imported from July 14, 2022 to June 12, 2024; XM cars were imported from June 6, 2022 to April 18, 2024, totaling 461; 5-series cars were imported from October 17, 2023 to June 7, 2024, totaling 2470; and some 7-series cars were imported from June 13, 2022 to June 12, 2024, totaling 24115. A total of 4441 X2 cars were imported from November 3, 2023 to June 3, 2024, MINI JCW Countryman cars were imported from March 1, 2024 to June 10, 2024, and Rolls-Royce Flash cars were imported from August 10, 2023 to April 8, 2024, with a total of 76 cars.

(2) brilliance BMW Co., Ltd.: a total of 95314 domestic X5 cars are produced from February 22, 2023 to August 29, 2024; a total of 83287 domestic 5-series cars are produced from August 15, 2023 to August 29, 2024; and 125901 domestic X1 cars are produced from November 7, 2022 to August 30, 2024.

(3) Light Beam Automobile Co., Ltd.: a total of 5552 domestic MINI COOPER cars are produced from June 1, 2024 to August 30, 2024, and 2682 domestic MINI ACEMAN cars are produced from June 24, 2024 to August 30, 2024.

The reason for the recall is that due to manufacturing reasons, the electrical signal of the motor position sensor of the integrated brake assist device (DSCi) is interfered in some vehicles within the scope of the recall, which may cause DSCi to be unable to provide auxiliary braking, affecting the function of anti-lock braking system (ABS) and dynamic stability control system (DSC). In view of the above defects, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd., brilliance BMW Motor Co., Ltd. and Light Motor Co., Ltd. will upgrade the software free of charge for the vehicles within the recall through the car remote upgrade (OTA) technology, the software can monitor the potential risks of DSCi, and send early warning information through the car machine system, reminding users to go back to the store to replace DSCi parts free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks. For vehicles that cannot be upgraded through OTA, users can go to the store to implement the recall free of charge.
