The second model of the Zhijie brand, the Zhijie R7, jointly built by Chery and Huawei, went on sale on Sept. 24, with a price range of 25.98 yuan to 339800 yuan. The new car is Hongmeng Zhihang's first sedan SUV model, based on the Turing chassis platform, using pure electric drive, equipped with Huawei Hongmeng cockpit and ADS 3.0 CLTC, the highest 802km. Mass deliveries of the Max and Ultra versions of the new car are scheduled to begin on October 15, while those of the Pro version will begin on November 15.

After a brief review of the appearance, the overall design style of the new car is very similar to that of the Zhijie S7 model, with a closed grille design on the front face, penetrating daytime driving lights and active intake grille on both sides, and equipped with Hongmeng Zhihang's latest intelligent headlamp system, the recognition is relatively high. In the lower surrounding part, there is a guide tuyere design on both sides of the new car, and the bottom is decorated with chromium plating, which is simple and severe in visual effect.

The new car has smooth lines on the side of the body, using the sedan SUV design style, showing a slippery back shape, and a watchtower lidar on the roof, with hidden door handles, red brake calipers and a 20-inch double five-spoke wheel design to further enhance the sense of movement of the vehicle. In terms of body color selection, the new car offers a total of six options: Mirage Purple, Sunshine Blue, Metropolitan Red, Gilded Black, Deep Space Gray and Ceramic White. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4956/1981/1634mm, wheelbase is 2950mm, positioning pure electric medium-sized SUV. As a comparison, Tesla Model Y has a length, width and height of 4750/1921/1624mm and a wheelbase of 2890mm, respectively, and the size of the new car has increased in all aspects.

In the rear part of the car, the new car taillight is also designed with a through taillight group, and the rear part of the lamp group presents a "C" shape with a higher degree of recognition after lighting. In addition, the new car is also equipped with a "duckling tail" shaped sports tail, officially known as the "brand new dish rear spoiler." The rear bumper is blackened, and the license plate frame is located in the middle of the rear bar, which looks very dynamic as a whole.

In the interior, the new car features a yacht-style encircling cockpit, a large central control screen, a 12.3in full LCD dashboard and a brand new olive sports steering wheel, equipped with Huawei's latest smart driving system, ADS 3.0, and a more intelligent voice assistant.

In terms of power, the new car offers single-motor version and double-motor version, of which the maximum power of single-motor version is 215 kilowatts; the maximum power of front motor of dual-motor version is 150 kilowatts and the maximum power of rear motor is 215 kilowatts. The new car offers ternary lithium batteries with capacities of 82kWh and 100kwh, while the CLTC provides 667km, 736km and 802km of pure electric mileage.

Previously, Yu Chengdong, managing director of Huawei, chairman of Terminal BG and chairman of smart car solution BU, said that he wanted to build Zhijie S7 and R7 into the favorite pure electric brands of young people, which has lagged far behind other Hongmeng Zhihang models in terms of listed Zhijie S7 sales. Retail data show that from January to August this year, the cumulative sales of the Wisdom S7 were 18900, compared with 133400 for the M7, 92900 for the M9 and 27300 for the M5.

Yu Chengdong said today that the Wisdom R7 had ordered more than 30,000 vehicles in less than two weeks. Considering the positioning and selling price of the new car, the new car will be aimed at young family users, but as a medium-sized SUV model, the new car has many competitors, including Tesla Model Y, Xilai EC6, Zhiji LS6, Teng Teng N7 and other models are potential competitors of the new car.
