On October 1, a number of new energy vehicle brands released their September sales reports as scheduled. According to the ranking list of 15 car companies with incomplete statistics in the Tramway report, there are 4 car companies selling more than 30, 000 vehicles in September, which are ideal car, Hongmeng Zhixing, Guangzhou Automobile Eian, and Zero running Automobile. In addition, five car companies, including Yinhe Automobile, Deep Blue Automobile, Xiaopeng Automobile, Polar Krypton ZEEKR and Xilai Automobile, all sold more than 20, 000 vehicles. Judging from the overall sales volume of each car company on the list, September's performance is impressive.
Subdivided into major car companies, let's first take a look at the performance of ideal cars, zero-running cars, Xiaopeng cars, Ulay cars, and Naha automobiles. In September, the five car companies delivered more than 10,000 vehicles. Among them, the ideal car is ahead of a group of car companies with 53709 vehicles, almost reaching the sum of zero-running cars and Xiaopeng Automobile, with sales of the latter two being 33767 and 21352 respectively.
Among them, Xiaopeng is growing rapidly, up 52.12% from the previous month. The increase in Xiaopeng's sales may be due to the launch of Xiaopeng's new car, MONA M03, which went on sale on August 27 at a price of 11.98-155800 yuan. Xiaopeng is currently the cheapest model on sale and is regarded as Xiaopeng's "fire captain". 48 hours after its launch, the number of Xiaopeng's new car has exceeded 30, 000. As of press time, Xiaopeng did not announce the specific sales of its models, but officials said that the delivery volume of MONA M03 exceeded 10,000 in September, creating the fastest offline speed of a single model. With the large-scale delivery of the car across the country, it is expected to have a significant boost to Xiaopeng's sales, and at the same time help Xiaopeng make a profit as soon as possible.
Xilai sold 21181 cars, delivering more than 20, 000 for five months in a row, but only slightly increased by 4.98 per cent in September from a month earlier. On Sept. 19, Ledao L60, the first model of Ledao, the brand of Ledao, launched two models with a price of 20.69-235900 yuan. According to the Tramway report, both Ulai and Xiaopeng launched cheaper new brands in order to capture more market segments, and the answer will soon be revealed as to how much boosting the two cars' listing will be for the brand.
As a second-tier brand of new power in car building, Naha became the only brand on the list that declined both year-on-year and month-on-month, with sales of 10118 vehicles in September, down 23.41 per cent from a year earlier and 8.06 per cent from a month earlier. Statistically speaking, since 2024, Naha car sales are still in a weak situation, lagging behind obviously, with a cumulative sales of 85908 vehicles in the first nine months of this year, down 12.13% from the same period last year, making it the only one of the five car companies to decline.
In addition to the above five new power brands, other new energy vehicle brands also performed well in September. Among them, Hongmeng Zhihang sold 39931 vehicles, while AITO accounted for 35560. Among the subdivided models, the M9 series and the new M7 series delivered 15496 and 15496 respectively. Now, Hongmeng Zhihang already has four major car brands, namely, the layout, intelligence, enjoyment and respect. As the product lineup continues to expand, follow-up sales may be further boosted.
After ideal car and Hongmeng Zhixing, GAC Ean ranked 35780 vehicles in September, but it fell 30.65% from the same period last year, making it the brand with the highest decline on the list. According to the plan, GAC's annual sales target for the year was 700000, with a cumulative sales rate of 283894 in the first eight months. The annual target completion rate is only 40.56%, and it is expected that it is unlikely to achieve the annual sales target. In the past, GAC Ean achieved great market performance by relying on low-cost models, and its AION S and AION Y accounted for almost half of the ride-hailing market, but now it is a different story.
Sales of Galaxy Automobile, Deep Blue Automobile and Polar Krypton ZEEKR in September were 29047, 22709 and 21333 respectively, up 122.00%, 30.74% and 76.99% respectively from a year earlier.
Xiaomi, the most closely watched new brand of the year, sold 10, 000 cars in September, but did not disclose the number of cars it sold, delivering more than 10, 000 vehicles for four consecutive months. At present, only the SU7 model is on sale, which went on sale on March 28th. Delivery volume exceeded 10,000 for the first time in June, 13120 in July and 13111 in August, with cumulative sales of 66231 + so far. Lei Jun, chairman of Xiaomi Group, said in a live broadcast that Xiaomi has added more than 4000 lock orders every week since September, and the delivery cycle has been scheduled beyond February next year, with a target production and delivery volume of more than 20000 vehicles in October.
In addition to the above brands, including Lantu Automobile, Avita, Zhiji Automobile and Jiyue Automobile have also announced September sales, which are 10001, 4537, 4516 and 2605 respectively. Among them, Jiyue Automobile, formerly known as Jidu Automobile, Geely and Baidu announced a cooperation in January 2021, and set up Jidu Automobile Co., Ltd. in March of that year. Jidu Motors changed its name to Ji Yue Automobile in August 2023 and now has two models: Ji Yue 01 and Ji Yue 07. The latter went on sale on Sept. 10 and launched three models with a time-limited price range of 19.99 yuan to 289900 yuan. Xia Yiping, CEO of Jiyue Automobile, said there was no standard car in the market.
Comprehensive "tram report" statistics of the ranking situation, September is the traditional peak season, many brands have achieved year-on-year sales growth. With the arrival of the "Silver Ten", it is worth looking forward to whether the car market sales can enter a greater rebound. But what needs to be faced squarely is that now the new power pattern in China has quietly changed, the former "Wei Xiaoli" has been broken, the ideal car and the world of inquiry are scrambling to seize the title of the new power, and other new power brands are constantly looking for their own position in the market. Admittedly, this year will be a year for domestic new energy car companies to reshuffle, and the competition in the future market will only be more fierce.
