In terms of price, the new G 500 sells for ten thousand yuan, the new G 63 sells for ten thousand yuan, and the pure electric G 580 has an advance price of ten thousand yuan. Among them, the heaviest is the pure electric G 580.

From the point of view of the design, the pure electric G 580 still retains the classic G-level design elements in the design, which can be seen at a glance that this is a G-class family product. The new car is equipped with a classic round headlamp group, the middle net is embellished with horizontal strips, and the edge lamp belt of the middle net can be lit. The decorations on both sides of the front are rectangular in shape to highlight the hard temperament. In terms of body color matching, the new car will provide matte South China Sea blue paint, obsidian black metal paint, matte Fritillaria white paint, Fritillaria white (bright color) paint and classic gray non-metallic paint.

On the side of the body, the pure electric G 580 still retains the classic elements, and the stout waistline is decorated with blue strips, indicating that it is a new energy model. In terms of size, the pure electric G580 has a length, width and height of 4624/1931/1986mm, a wheelbase of 2890mm, a total mass of 3.5t and a tire of 26550R18. In the rear part, the shape of the rear part of the pure electric G 580 is highly consistent with that of the fuel version, and the small schoolbag on the rear door of the vehicle is turned into a storage compartment to facilitate the storage of small items and charging wires.

Compared with the appearance, the interior design of the pure electric G 580 has almost no trace of motorization, and there is almost no big difference between the overall design and the fuel version, and the design of the center console is still full of "G flavor". The central channel area is decorated with touch panels and some silver decorative panels, even pure electric vehicles can still show the texture of cross-country + luxury + technology. The most important thing is power, the pure electric G580 is equipped with four wheel side motors that can be controlled independently, the maximum comprehensive power output is 432kW (588hp), the peak torque is 1164N ·m, the 0-100km/h time of the car is 4.7s, and the top speed is 180km/h. In terms of battery life, the G580 is equipped with 116kWh ternary lithium battery, the maximum mileage is 473km (WLTP operating mode), CLTC is 580km, it has fast charging ability, and it can drive 170km in 15 minutes.

The four motors not only bring strong power, but also bring stronger cross-country performance. The G580 has a maximum wading depth of 850mm, provides low-speed cross-country gear, and supports G-Turn (U-turn in place) and G-Steering flexible steering functions. In addition to the above functions, the G580 also provides G-ROAR sound wave simulation function, which can simulate the sound waves of the V8 engine and provide a sound wave atmosphere in different driving dynamics. In terms of suspension, the G580 is consistent with the fuel version, using the front double-arm independent suspension with the rear bridge non-independent suspension, and the rear motor is rotated on the trapezoidal frame to transmit power through the double universal joint transmission shaft.

Mercedes-Benz did not want to distinguish between electric cars and fuel vehicles in terms of design and model naming, and the rumored EQG was cancelled and followed the G 580 name of the fuel car rule. The reason is that Mercedes-Benz still hopes to retain the G-class classic design and incorporate the new design while launching the electric car. In terms of performance, the overall performance of the G580 is no worse than that of the G500, or even better than that of the AMG G63. Unfortunately, without the driving pleasure brought by the mechanical performance, the roar of the engine can no longer be heard in the G580. From the perspective of market pricing, the G 580 is also destined to be an unmatched model, which is not destined to be bought by ordinary consumers.

In addition to the pure electric G-class off-road vehicle, Mercedes-Benz also launched the new G500 and the new AMG G 63. Although it is a new model, the appearance of the two models has not changed much. The biggest change of the new G 500 is the change from the previous 4.0T V8 engine to the 3.0T L6 engine + 48V light hybrid system. Although the engine is smaller, the power is actually increased and the acceleration is faster. The new AMG G 63 adds a 48V light mixing system with ISG to the AMG 4.0T V8 engine with a maximum power of 430kW and a maximum torque of 850N ·m.
