Dongfeng Nissan's Xiaoke honorary model was officially launched on October 20. The new car has launched a total of two models, the true version and the leading version, with guidance prices of 125900 yuan and 134900 yuan respectively, and time-limited prices of 99800 yuan and 109800 yuan respectively. It is understood that the new car on the market after the adoption of the same sales strategy, and the third generation of Xiaoke, Xiaoke classic common sales. As a reference, the price range of Xiaoke series models currently on sale is 12.59-174900 yuan.

As a modified model, the new car is mainly aimed at making substantial adjustments to the appearance and interior, taking on a new look inside and outside, while the power continues to carry a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine.

Specifically, in terms of appearance, the new car uses the latest family design style, the front face is very similar to Nissan land exploration, using the new V-Motion design language, composed of a large area black matrix grille with a new split headlamp group, looks very rough and hard. Among them, the interior of the grid is a matrix shape, and integrated with the headlamp group, at the same time, a large number of horizontal light sources on both sides are decorated, which not only has a high degree of recognition, but also has a great visual impact.

The side of the body still retains the design outline of the classic model, but the new car is replaced with a brand-new 18-inch cyclone wheel, and the door handle is designed for the traditional pull-out door handle. On the whole, the new car has strong lines, straight waistline design outlines the dynamic body outline, with bright black spraying machine processing design, so that the vehicle presents a good sense of fashion. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4407/1837/1610mm and the wheelbase is 2646mm. For comparison, the classic model of Xiaoke is 4401/1837/1627mm in length, width and height. In contrast, the length and height of the new car ‌ increased by 6mm and 17mm, respectively.

In the rear part, the new car adopts a split taillight design, and the lamp group is a sharp dart design with a high degree of recognition after lighting. In addition, the new car also fine-tunes the shape of the rear bumper, with the word "GLORY" on the left side of the rear, indicating the brand-new identity of the new car.

The interior is the most obvious change in the new car. The new car is designed in dark blue and black and wrapped in a large number of soft materials to enhance comfort and make the car look more fashionable at the same time. In terms of configuration, the new car will change the 10.25inch embedded central control screen to 12.3inch suspension screen, better visual experience, built-in new car system, support OTA upgrade. At the same time, the new car also provides D-type three-spoke steering wheel and three-round air conditioning outlet, and retains physical buttons to facilitate quick operation. Compared with the cash Xiaoke model, the change is very obvious, and the overall sense of science and technology is stronger.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine model "MR20" with a maximum power of 111kW and a maximum torque of 194Nm, the transmission system matches the CRT five-stage gearbox, and the powertrain is the same as the current Nissan Xiaoke classic, but the new car is equipped with ASCD constant speed cruise system as standard. As a reference, the current Xiaoke is equipped with 1.3T engine and 2.0L engine, the maximum power is 116kW and 111kW respectively, and the transmission system matches the CVT continuously variable transmission.

As one of the three best-selling models under Dongfeng Nissan, so far, Xiaoke has iterated to the third generation of models. Xiaoke was first unveiled at Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2007, officially listed domestically in March 2008, and launched the second generation of Xiaoke in October 2015. The classic version of Xiaoke went on sale in July 2023 at a price of 12.59-145900 yuan. In August of the same year, the third-generation Xiaoke went on sale at a price of 13.99-174900 yuan, with a light hybrid power system consisting of a 1.3T four-cylinder engine.

Retail data show that from January to September in 2024, Dongfeng Nissan sold a total of 430793 vehicles, of which Xuanyi was the highest, with a cumulative sales of 240204, accounting for 55.76% of the total sales. Xiaoke and Teana were followed by 81744 and 51397, accounting for 18.96% and 11.93% of total sales, respectively. Qijun and Panda were 25040 and 12674 respectively, and the rest were less than 10,000.

Overall, although Xiaoke honor appearance and interior decoration have been greatly adjusted, and the configuration has been upgraded, almost to the degree of a makeover, and as a whole, it is younger and more technological, but the power still uses a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine and CVT gearbox, but the price has been reduced somewhat. As to whether these improvements can make the new car more attractive in the competition, we will wait for the answer from the market. As a compact SUV model, Xiaoke will compete with Toyota Fenglanda, Volkswagen Tuyue, Honda HR-V and other models after its launch.
