After Sun Jiguang joined FAW Group, the leading members of FAW Group were composed of Qiu Xiandong, Liu Yigong, Wang Guoqiang, Sun Jiguang, Fang Shili, Liang Guiyou, Wu Bilei and Chen Bin, with Qiu Xiandong as chairman and Liu Yigong as general manager. On June 13, FAW Group announced that according to the notice of the Central Organization Department on the appointment of members of the leading group of the group, Comrade Wu Bilei was appointed member of the standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of China first Automobile Group Co., Ltd. on July 11, FAW Group announced that Chen Bin was appointed member of the standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of China first Automobile Group Co., Ltd. With the transfer of Chen Bin, the new general manager was replaced by Song Hanming.

According to the official website, China first Automobile Group Co., Ltd. is a state-owned super-large automobile enterprise group, formerly known as the first automobile factory, is one of the key construction projects of the country's first five-year Plan. After 70 years of development, it has established five major production bases in Northeast, North China, East China, South China and Southwest, with its own brands Red Flag, Pentium, Liberation, and joint venture brands FAW-Volkswagen and FAW Toyota.

At present, FAW Group is All in new energy strategy, the whole side is facing the transformation of new energy vehicles. According to the plan, FAW Group will achieve a total sales of 1 million vehicles by 2025, of which more than 500000 new energy vehicles will be sold; by 2030, more than 1.5 million vehicles will be sold, of which new energy vehicles will become the main body of sales.
