On October 28th, FAW Pentium's Pentium pony long-lasting version was officially launched, with a total of smart horses and lightning horses launched at a price of 36900 yuan and 39900 yuan.

Pentium pony is a brand-new model of FAW Pentium, which was launched on May 28th this year, with a price range of 2.69-31900 yuan, positioning pure electric mini car, 3-door 4-seat hatchback layout, power equipped with 20kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, mainly competing with Hongguang MINIEV, Changan Lumin and other micro electric vehicles in the car market.

The new car is a new version of the Pentium pony, the appearance design is basically the same as the previous model, using a small box body shape. Specifically, the front face of the new car uses a huge closed grille design, with LOGO logo inlaid in the middle, fillet shaped lights on both sides, halogen headlamps and LED turn lights standard in the whole department, and decorations with different colors, which not only has a high degree of overall recognition, but also has a great visual impact.

On the side of the car body, the new car is small in shape and adopts collision color body design, which adds a lot of fashion flavor to the new car. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 3000/1510/1630mm and the wheelbase is 1953mm. For comparison, the Wuling Hongguang MINIEV basic model has a length, width and height of 2920/1493/1621mm and a wheelbase of 1940. By contrast, the new car surpasses the Wuling Hongguang MINIEV in all sizes. In the rear part of the car, the new car taillight is consistent with the front face, forming the echo effect before and after lighting. In addition, the rear part of the new car is designed with a small spoiler, and the license plate frame is located above the bumper to further enhance the young fashion sense of the whole car.

In terms of interior decoration, the new car is equipped with a 7-inch instrument and knob shift mechanism, air-conditioning control, window control and other buttons on the dashboard, and a water cup holder in front of the co-driver. In terms of power, the Pentium pony long-lasting version is equipped with a maximum power of 20 kilowatts drive motor and a peak torque of 85 Nm. In terms of battery life, the new car has a pure electric mileage of 222km under CLTC comprehensive operating conditions, and a new fast charging function has been added to increase the battery life by 100km per hour.

Retail data show that 18780 Pentium ponies have been sold since its launch, including 9615 in September, making it the highest-selling model under FAW Pentium and ranking fourth in the pure electric minicar segment.

It should be noted that the current pure electric minicar market is particularly competitive, such as Hongguang MINIEV, BYD dolphin / seagull, Wuling colorful fruit, Nezha V, Ola good cat, Chery QQ ice cream and so on are all hot models in the market. Retail data show that from January to September this year, the top three mini-car sales were Hongguang MINIEV, Changan Lumin and Geely Panda, with cumulative sales of 154400, 98500 and 86300 respectively, followed by Zero running T03 and Chery QQ ice cream with 38700 and 24700 respectively. Pentium pony ranked sixth with 18800. Pentium pony as a newly listed model, the follow-up is bound to face a lot of competitive pressure.
