AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)11/14 Report--

Tesla will recall 2431 Cybertruck electric trucks, covering some Cybertruck electric trucks manufactured between November 6, 2023 and July 30, 2024, according to a recall notice released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Tesla said that the failure of the drive inverter may cause it to stop generating torque, and if the inverter stops generating torque, the driver will lose the ability to use the accelerator pedal to apply torque to the vehicle, resulting in a loss of power. this may increase the risk of collision. No warning will be issued before losing power, but when the driver loses the ability to exert torque, he will immediately receive a visual alert on the user interface and instructed to park the vehicle safely by the side of the road and contact Tesla for roadside assistance.

It is understood that Tesla used OTA updates to solve some of the Cybertruck recall problems, such as fixing the problem that the reversing camera could not display correctly when the driver switched to the reversing gear, but this recall involves the replacement of physical parts, that is, the drive inverter, which is the key component to power the wheels. Tesla said he had not received any collisions, deaths or injuries related to or possibly related to the situation.

Since delivery, Cybertruck electric pickup has encountered a lot of problems, a total of five recalls.

Tesla will recall 27185 Cybertruck electric trucks, covering all Cybertruck electric trucks manufactured between November 13, 2023 and September 14, 2024, according to a recall notice released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on Oct. 3. According to the file, the recall was due to the fact that Cybertruck's rearview camera delayed the display of images on the dashboard, increasing the risk of collisions. When the Cybertruck reverses, the rearview display may show blank for as long as 8 seconds, which far exceeds the 2 seconds required by the relevant departments.

In addition to dashboard display problems, the recall of Cybertruck electric trucks also includes possible problems with single-arm wipers and loose trim panels on the side of the truck's hopper.

Cybertruck, Tesla's first electric pickup, was launched at its headquarters in Los Angeles on November 22, 2019. the emergence of this electric pickup has subverted the market's perception of pickup models, because pickup models place more emphasis on functionality than cars and SUV, thus losing the innovative ability of pickup models in appearance and technology. However, the emergence of Cybertruck still shocked the market. Tesla officially delivered the Cybertruck electric pickup truck to the first batch of car owners in the United States in December 2023, and announced the prices of three models: $60990 for rear wheel drive, $79990 for four-wheel drive and $99990 for Beast. Among them, the four-wheel drive version and the beast version will be available in 2024, and the rear-wheel drive version will be available in 2025.

On the evening of October 2, Tesla announced the production and delivery of the third quarter of 2024. Data show that Tesla delivered about 463000 vehicles worldwide in the third quarter, an increase of 6.4 percent over the same period last year, the first year-on-year growth this year, but Tesla delivered less than the 469800 vehicles expected in the third quarter. In terms of specific models, 440000 vehicles were delivered by Model 3plink Y and 23000 by Model Xplox S and other models.

On Nov. 9, Tesla announced that the backlog of Cybertruck orders had been largely cleared and revealed that it ranked third in U. S. electric vehicle sales last quarter. To this end, Tesla launched a rental service for Cybertruck. American consumers can rent an all-wheel drive version of Cybertruck for three years after a down payment of $7500. The monthly rent is $999, or about 7172 yuan. In addition, consumers can choose to rent the Cyberbeast version for two years without a down payment, and the monthly rent is $1715, or about 12312 yuan. This rental option provides consumers with more flexible choices and further promotes the popularity and market acceptance of Cybertruck.
