Volkswagen's new Tanyue L made its debut at the 2024 Guangzhou Motor Show. Compared with the cash model, the side of the body looks stronger, the roof line falls slightly, the D-column is painted with the same color, and the black-top two-color body is an important way to enhance the sense of fashion and enhance the sense of design and identification. In terms of interior decoration, the new Tanyue L pays more attention to the creation of atmosphere, adding a large number of atmosphere lights in the car, and the interior color matching is more lively, which is in line with the positioning of young users. The 300TSI model is equipped with an EA211-DSV series 1.5T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 160hp (118kW) and a maximum torque of 250Nm, matched by a 7DCT wet double clutch transmission. The 380TSI is equipped with an EA888-DTJ series 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 220hp (162kW) and a maximum torque of 350Nm, which matches the 7DCT wet double clutch transmission.

Tanyue is the second domestic SUV model launched by FAW-Volkswagen after the compact SUV T-ROC in October 2018, equipped with 2.0T high and low power engine + 7-speed DSG double clutch gearbox. Since then, FAW-Volkswagen has launched Tanyue GTE and X. the former is a new energy car and the latter is a coupe.

Today, Tanyue is still Volkswagen's best-selling SUV. In the domestic market, Tanyue is positioned as a medium-sized SUV, with the same class models as SAIC-Volkswagen Tuguan L (guiding price range 186800-266800 yuan), Guangzhou Automobile Toyota Hanlanda (guiding price range 249800-348800 yuan), SAIC General Buick Ankewei (guiding price range 196900-295,900 yuan) and so on. Retail data show that Tanyue sold 127300 vehicles in the first 10 months of 2024, making it Volkswagen's best-selling SUV and fifth among VW brands, followed by Tuguan L with 123800 vehicles. Compared with Tuguan L PRO, the pricing of Tanyue L will be lower. After the replacement, the size of the two models is also closer, and the product level is not too different. Obviously, Tanyue L will have a higher performance-to-price ratio.

Although more and more consumers begin to consider new energy vehicles, and the market competition of 200000 yuan is becoming more and more fierce, the traditional fuel vehicles led by Tanyue L still occupy a good market share, and some consumers are still willing to choose more reliable brand products. Compared with the current mountain exploration, the change of the mountain exploration L is obvious, the appearance is more fashionable, the size and space is further improved, and what is more important is to intelligently catch up with the mainstream, including the intelligent driving assistance system with three large screens in the car, which is easier to use. If the price and preferential policies of cash exploration are continued, I believe there will be a good performance.
