It is understood that the iCAR V23 is based on a new platform architecture, positioning compact pure electric SUV models, power to provide rear-drive and four-wheel drive version of the model choice, the new car will be launched in December.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a retro design style, which is a very popular square box nowadays. Specifically, the front face of the new car is modeled with a closed grille, and both sides are equipped with retro round headlights, which have a high degree of recognition after lighting, and the engine hatch is slightly raised and the whole hard style is full.

In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4220/1915/1845mm and wheelbase 2735mm respectively. As a comparison, iCAR 03 is 4406/1910/1715mm in length, width and height and 2715mm in wheelbase. Both models are positioned as a compact SUV with similar sizes. In the rear part, the design of the new car is very personalized, using a side-open rear door design, and a small schoolbag-shaped external storage box is suspended on the right of the rear, but the locker cannot be opened from the outside, but adopts the mode of connecting with the interior. On the left, there is room for the license plate frame.

In the interior part, the new car provides a variety of black, white and gray color options and uses a large number of straight line layout, showing a young and fashionable visual effect. In terms of equipment, the new car is equipped with a large-size floating central control screen, with a built-in 8155 chip in the engine system, providing a new style of three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, shielding and no dashboard design, and the air conditioner and other physical keys are retained under the central control screen without losing the sense of science and technology as a whole.

In terms of power, the new car offers a choice of single-motor rear-drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive models, in which the maximum power of single motor is 100kW, the maximum power of dual-motor is 155kW, the front motor is 55kW, the rear motor is 100kW, the standard Ningde era battery is equipped with Ningde era battery, and the mileage of the rear-drive version is 401km; the mileage of the four-wheel drive version is 501km.

ICAR Automobile, the first new energy vehicle brand under Chery Automobile, was launched on the eve of the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show. The early products will be from A0 to the mainstream market layout of A-class cars, followed by B-class cars, mainly for the price range of 150000 yuan. Since the launch of the new car, the cumulative sales of the iCAR 03 have been 36635, of which 4197, 4358, 4585 and 5466, respectively, were sold from July to October, a regular performance as a compact all-electric SUV.

Both iCAR 03 and iCAR V23 are located in the compact SUV, while the current pure electric compact SUV market competition has been very fierce, including BYD yuan PLUS, Geely Galaxy E5, GAC Ean AION Y and so on. From the perspective of the positioning and pre-sale price of iCAR V23, iCAR V23 adopts the hard cross-country design style preferred by young consumers, plus the pre-sale price of 11-150000 yuan, such a pure electric SUV model is expected to have a certain competitive advantage after listing, according to market rules, the pre-price of the new car may be further reduced.

At present, Chery Group is growing particularly rapidly in the new energy market, but its performance in the new energy field is far less than that of traditional car companies such as BYD. Chery Group still needs to speed up its pace of catching up in the new energy field. As Chery's first new energy vehicle brand, iCAR's future performance will also be linked to Chery's new energy market. According to official figures, as of November 15, the pre-sale order for the 19 iCAR V23 has exceeded 31000, and it remains to be seen whether it will bring a surprise at the sales level after the launch.
