AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)11/21 Report--

A few days ago, Automotive Industry concern obtained a set of patent maps for the new BMW iX3. The new car is expected to be put into production at the Debrecen plant in Hungary in the second half of 2025 and mass production at the BMW plant in Shenyang after it is introduced into China in 2026.

In terms of appearance, the new BMW iX3 basically continues the previously released Vision Neue Klasse X concept car design style, which is very different from the fuel version. Specifically, the front face of the new car basically completely replicates the design of the previous concept car, the long light group shape is expected to become the new symbol of BMW's pure electric model, the classic "double kidney" grille shape is also retained and embellished with lights to increase visual impact, with LED light source more recognizable, is expected to have welcome lights function.

On the side of the body, the overall outline of the new BMW iX3 is straight, and the shape of the long wheelbase and short front suspension also ensures the interior space to a certain extent. Unlike the concept car, the new car uses the traditional rearview mirror shape, and the hidden door handle may be ejected. In addition, the D-pillar location highlights the classic Huo corner design, which previously used the "reflective printing" treatment in the concept car, I do not know whether it will be extended to the mass production model. In the rear part, the taillight shape of the new era car echoes with the headlights, and the internal structure is the classic L-shaped design of BMW.

As for the interior, the reference concept model is expected to carry BMW's latest digital cockpit, and the multi-function steering wheel features a new four-spoke style with a suspended central control screen designed by polygons. In addition, the car will also be equipped with BMW's latest panoramic vision bridge + 3D head-up display system, coupled with an intelligent voice control system that can present an emotional human-car interaction experience. In addition, it can be seen that the new generation X concept car of BMW adopts rimless door design, and the seat headrest has a good sense of wrapping. Of course, it is not known how many conceptual designs will be used in production cars.

According to the financial report, BMW Group's global sales in the third quarter were 540882 vehicles, down 13% from the same period last year. BMW's sales in all regions declined, of which BMW Group's sales in China fell 29.8% to 147691 vehicles, the largest decline. BMW said that due to brake system failure, emergency recall of 1.5 million vehicles, this part also affected the delivery data, compared with other markets, the decline is lower. Among them, Germany fell by 8.8% and the United States by 9.2%. In the first three quarters, BMW Group's global sales fell 4.5 per cent to 1754158 vehicles, mainly due to BMW's slow sales in China, where sales fell 13.1 per cent to 523638 vehicles, causing BMW to decline 10.7 per cent in Asia, 5.1 per cent in Germany and 2.1 per cent in the US. It is worth mentioning that BMW Group's electric vehicle business performed well, with pure electric vehicle sales rising 10.1% year-on-year to 103440 units in the third quarter, in sharp contrast to Mercedes-Benz, while the cumulative sales of pure electric models in the first three quarters were 294054, up 19.1% from a year earlier.

According to the product plan, BMW's new generation model will be launched on the global market in 2025 and at least six models will be put into production within the next 24 months, and the first new generation model will be made at BMW's Shenyang plant in 2026. BMW expects pure electric models to account for more than 50 per cent of its annual global deliveries by 2030 and is expected to deliver more than 10 million pure electric vehicles in the global market.
