Another three luxury car company officials announced a recall! According to the announcement of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd., brilliance BMW Automobile Co., Ltd. And Beam Automobile Co., Ltd., Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. and Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration.

In accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the Administration of defective Automobile products recall and the measures for the implementation of defective Automobile products recall regulations, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd., brilliance BMW Automobile Co., Ltd. And Light Automobile Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration.

1. BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd., brilliance BMW Motor Co., Ltd. And Light Motor Co., Ltd. Recall: part of imported X7 cars from September 14, 2023 to May 31, 2024, a total of 3; production date is April 11, 2024, part of imported 5-series cars, a total of 1; production date is July 27, 2022 to April 26, 2024, a total of 4 imported 7-series cars There are 2 imported X2 cars from April 14 to May 10, 2024; 4 imported MINI JCW Countryman cars from April 26, 2024 to May 31, 2024; some domestic X5 cars from October 23, 2023 to August 15, 2024; and some domestic 5-series cars from January 15, 2024 to August 22, 2024. A total of 153 domestic X1 cars were produced from July 3, 2023 to August 28, 2024, 11 domestic MINI COOPER cars were produced from July 30, 2024 to August 15, 2024, and 21 domestic MINI ACEMAN cars were produced from July 9, 2024 to August 24, 2024.

Notice shows that part of the vehicles within the scope of the recall due to manufacturing reasons, integrated brake booster (DSCi) servo motor hollow shaft parts of the welding is abnormal, in extreme cases may be damaged, resulting in DSCi can not provide auxiliary braking, affecting the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and dynamic stability control system (DSC) function, there are safety risks. In view of product defects, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd., brilliance BMW Motor Co., Ltd. and Light Light Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the integrated brake booster devices for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety risks.

In addition, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. and brilliance BMW Co., Ltd. recalled a total of one imported X5M car with a production date of March 5, 2024; a total of 2 imported X6M cars from February 17, 2024 to February 27, 2024; and a total of 40 imported X6 cars from February 10, 2024 to May 21, 2024. A total of 126 X7 cars were imported from October 30, 2023 to July 22, 2024, 3 XM cars were imported from February 15, 2024 to February 28, 2024, 98 cars were imported from January 17, 2024 to June 24, 2024, and a total of 163 cars were imported from March 21, 2023 to July 18, 2024. A total of 158 X2 cars were imported from February 12, 2024 to April 16, 2024, and 4 MINI JCW Countryman cars were imported from March 5, 2024 to May 29, 2024. A total of 1213 domestic X5 cars were produced from November 6, 2023 to March 9, 2024, 1603 domestic 5-series cars were produced from June 27, 2023 to March 9, 2024, and 1379 domestic X1 cars were produced from November 24, 2023 to March 9, 2024.

Notice shows that some vehicles within the scope of this recall due to manufacturing reasons, the integrated brake assist device (DSCi) motor position sensor electrical signal interference, may lead to DSCi can not provide auxiliary braking, affecting the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and dynamic stability control system (DSC) function, there are safety risks. In view of the above defects, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. and brilliance BMW Co., Ltd. will upgrade the software free of charge for the vehicles within the recall through the car remote upgrade (OTA) technology, which can monitor the potential risks of DSCi and send early warning messages through the car machine system, prompting users to go back to the store to replace DSCi parts free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks. For vehicles that cannot be upgraded through OTA, users can go to the store to implement the recall free of charge.

It is worth mentioning that this recall belongs to the expanded recall of "BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd., brilliance BMW Automobile Co., Ltd. And Light Motor Co., Ltd. recall some imported and domestic cars" issued on September 11, 2024.

In addition to BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar Land Rover also announced recalls.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. has recalled the following vehicles from now on.

1. Recall a total of 822 imported E-Class and AMG GT vehicles that were manufactured from September 4, 2020 to September 1, 2023. In some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the electrical connection of the transmission harness may seep into the water vapor, resulting in a short circuit of the wire harness. In extreme cases, there is a risk of fire. Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. through Mercedes-Benz authorized dealers, free of charge for the recall of vehicles within the scope of the replacement of improved transmission wiring harness, in order to eliminate safety risks.

Second, recall a total of 597 Class A cars imported during the period from October 4, 2018 to June 22, 2020. Due to the deviation in the software development of the combined instrument control unit for some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the mark of the rear fog lamp in the combined instrument may not meet the provisions of the national standard on the rear fog lamp symbol. Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. will upgrade the instrument control unit software for vehicles within the recall range free of charge through authorized dealers of Mercedes-Benz.

It is worth mentioning that this recall belongs to the expanded recall of "Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. recalls some imported cars" issued on June 7, 2024.

Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd. decided to recall some of the imported 2005-2016 Land Rover Discovery and range Rover sports vehicles produced from March 17, 2005 to September 16, 2016, totaling 123816. For some vehicles equipped with trailer traction devices within the scope of this recall, if the removable trailer hook is not removed in time in the course of use, long-term fixing on the body will cause premature wear and tear of the trailer hook, which may lead to trailer hook failure and safety risks. In view of the above defects, Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will provide free trailer hook fixing bracket kit and installation instructions and tools for vehicles equipped with trailer traction devices within the recall range to eliminate safety risks.
