Great Wall, the leading brand of China's independent SUV, released its sales report in April 2019.

Judging from the performance report data, Great Wall Motor unexpectedly achieved four consecutive months of year-on-year rise in the overall decline of major car companies.

Great Wall's cumulative sales in April were 83838, up 2.5 per cent from a year earlier to 367680 from January to April, up 8.65 per cent from a year earlier and reaching 30.64 per cent of its annual sales target.

In the Harvard series, both Harvard H4 and Harvard M6 have grown to a great extent, and the sales of Harvard M6 have even increased by 155.74%. Harvard H6, Harvard M6 and Harvard F7 have all sold more than 10,000 models.

The WEY series is generally in the doldrums, with year-on-year sales declining. The cumulative sales of the entire brand series of models were less than 10,000, down 39.54% from the same period last year.

The rest of the pickup truck Great Wall Fengjun also sold well, with cumulative sales of 450,000 units from January to April, up 10.95% from the same period last year.

In terms of new energy, the newly launched Euler brand sold 18710 vehicles from January to April.

Compared with the decline in sales of its own brand Geely, Great Wall's performance growth is also commendable.

Sales of Great Wall Motor have increased, but profits have fallen sharply, perhaps also because of its strategy of going to the countryside to promote sales at Harvard and perennial discounts.
