AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)05/10 Report--
On May 10, 2019, Volvo Automobile sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products.
Recall models:
Volvo decided to recall some of the imported 2016 Volvo XC90 cars made between August 27, 2014 and April 24, 2016, totaling 6223, starting from June 19, 2019.
Reasons for recall:
For the vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to design reasons, the engine coolant release hose may break under long-term use, resulting in coolant leakage, and in extremely serious cases, the leaked coolant accumulates near the high temperature exhaust system, which may cause a fire in the engine cabin and cause safety risks.
Solution:
Volvo Automobile sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will replace the improved release hose for vehicles within the recall range free of charge to eliminate safety risks.
When the coolant leaks, the warning light at the driver's instrument will be lit, and there will be a message that the coolant level is low. If users find that the coolant level is low, they should contact the Volvo authorized maintenance station for inspection as soon as possible. Users should contact the dealer for maintenance as soon as possible after the start of the recall.
