Ford, the second largest US automaker, will lay off staff in its plan to restructure its operations in Europe a few days ago. Ford announced on October 10th that it would stop production of Mondeo and CMAX models in Europe and cut 550office jobs at its Essex base in the UK, which did not involve factory jobs in the UK, according to Bloomberg.

Ford is in the process of global transformation, including a plan to restructure Europe, which lost $190 million in the first nine months of 2018 and made a profit of $278 million in the same period in 2017.

Steven Armstrong, president of subjective Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: we will take decisive action to transform our business in Europe.

In addition, Ford brand imported cars sold 16131 vehicles in China in 2018, down 14.3 per cent from 2017.

Ford's revenue in 2018 was $160.34 billion; year-on-year growth of 2.3%, net profit of 3.677 billion; year-on-year decline of 52.4%, Ford lost $1.1 billion in Asia. In the transformation of globalization, Ford tilted its business center to China and retreated to North America.
